  • We aimed to screen novel gene signatures for ovarian cancer (OC) and explore the role of biomarkers in OC via regulating pyroptosis using bioinformatics analysis. The proliferation, migration, and invasion were determined using cell counting kit and transwell assay. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was applied to measure infammatory factors. The mRNA and protein expression were detected using real-time quantitative PCR and western blot.

  • In this study, we found that LINC00852 was highly expressed in the tissue of prostate cancer using quantitative reverse transcription PCR (qRT-PCR). CCK-8 assay, colony formation experiment, Transwell migration and invasion experiments were performed to prove that the up-regulation of LINC00852 could promote the proliferation, migration and invasion of prostate cancer cells in vitro.

  • There is considerable evidence that microRNAs (miRNAs) regulate several key tumor-associated genes/ pathways and may themselves have a dual regulatory function either as tumor suppressors or oncogenic miRNA, depending on the tumor type.

  • The present study, therefore, explored whether migration and apoptosis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and ALL blasts in high glucose conditions is regulated by A20. To this end, ALL blasts from blood samples of fifteen patients and PBMCs from healthy individuals in the absence of A20 were examined. Gene expression profile was determined by quantitative RT-PCR, cell apoptosis by flow cytometry, and cell migration by a transwell migration assay. As a result, the expression of A20 was inactivated in ALL blasts.

  • Emerging evidence has shown that microRNAs are involved in gastric cancer development and progression. Here we examine the role of miR-133b in gastric cancer. Methods: Quantitative real-time PCR analysis was performed in 140 patient gastric cancer tissues and 8 gastric cancer cell lines. The effects of miR-133b in gastric cancer cells metastasis were examined by scratch assay, transwell migration and matrigel invasion.

  • Migration of vascular smooth muscle cells (SMCs) from the media to intima constitutes a critical step in the development of proliferative vascular diseases. To elucidate the regulatory mechanism of vacular SMC motility, the roles of caldesmon (CaD) and its phosphorylation were investigated. Methods: We have performed Transwell migration assays, immunofluorescence microscopy, traction microscopy and cell rounding assays using A7r5 cells transfected with EGFP (control), EGFP-wtCaD or phosphomimetic CaD mutants, including EGFP-A1A2 (the two PAK sites Ser452...
