The study identifies that some local animals and crops have advantages in high-tech application such as rice, coffee pepper, fruit trees, pig, cow, poultry, and aquaculture. To develop hi-tech agriculture in Quang Tri province, there should be synchronized solutions, in which important solutions are planning high-tech agricultural production zones - areas and identifying suitable technologies for each specific plant and particular zone.

Da Xanh pomelo (Citrus maxima) is a fruit tree with many nutrients and high economic value. However, nematode attacks are one of the factors that limit productivity. In this work, 19 newly introduced and some traditional apricot cultivars were evaluated by 20 phenological and agronomical traits and fruit quality attributes. The results showed a wide variation in phenological data, tree vigour (TCSA), productivity [yield per tree, cumulative yield (CY) and yield efficiency (YE)], and fruit quality attributes such as fruit and stone weight, flesh/stone ratio, fruit dimensions, size, shape index, soluble solids content (SSC), titratable acidity (TA) and ripening index (RI).

The study surveyed 90 grapefruit farms in Phuc Ninh commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province and adopted a number of economic research methods to evaluate and analyze factors affecting the economic efficiency of grapefruit production. Crop regulation studies were undertaken on Kinnow trees of 8th and 9th year which have started declining due to heavy crop load in the previous year to maintain the tree health and vigour for continuous production. Plano-fix (NAA) was used to thin the fruitlets in 0, 250, 300 and 350 ppm at fruitlets stage after fruit set. The experiment was laid on Randomized Block Design, replicated four times, two trees served as a unit of treatment. Applications of 350 ppm Plano-fix (NAA) decreased crop load via fruitlet thinning. It improved vegetative growth, tree vigour, fruit size & quality.
