The paper generalizes one practical tool for analyzing the structural dynamics for the high-speed railway bridge based on Cast3M open-source. Compared with the classical approach with the analytical formulation, KD-Railway developed by the finite element method allows defining the structure with complex geometry and considering a different type of structure (truss, cable, hybrid composite) or the structure-soil interaction.

This paper aims to use the AdaBoost-DE algorithm for optimizing steel roof trusses. The AdaBoost-DE employed in this study is a hybrid algorithm in which the AdaBoost classification technique is used to enhance the performance of the Differential Evolution algorithm by skipping unnecessary fitness evaluations during the optimization process. An example of a duo-pitch steel roof truss with a span of 24 meters is carried out.

In globalization, the selection of the specifications for design practices depends on the investment agency. For example, steel truss structures can be designed using various codes, such as AISC 360-16 or EC 3. Although most specifications have recently been written in the limit state design approaches, which codes resulting in reasonable design solutions are rarely investigated.

A damage diagnosis method for trusses based on incomplete free vibration properties utilizing ensemble learning, e.g. Extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), is presented in this work. Owing to the lack of measurement sensors, modal features are only measured at master degrees of freedom (DOFs) of a few first models instead of all DOFs of a structural system.

This paper aims to apply the developed ADE to optimize truss structures subjected to frequency constraints. In addition, limitations of the AOA are also discussed, as well as how to overcome them. In each iteration, a randomly generated probability parameter is used to determine whether AOA or DE that would be used to generate new candidate solutions in the population.

The probabilistic analyses provide a more rational approach for the safety assessment of structures since they consider the uncertainties in the calculations. This study employs the fully probabilistic analysis as an additional analysis to examine the reliability index of an LRFD-based design of the truss structure.

A conventional structure during bearing loads usually has cross-sectional areasoften changed, not always constant because of defectiveness or corrosiveness…Moreover, in the process of working, the loads acting on structures themselves change. Therefore, this paper offers solutions of a truss mentioned the change of cross-sectional areas and loads are modeled as two types of random variables.
