The distribution of SOC with in different pools is an important consideration for understanding its dynamics and diverse role in ecosystems. Therefore, present study was carried out to study the effect of different options of nutrient management on active pools of SOC under soybean - chickpea cropping sequence of Typic Haplustepts.

A study was undertaken to assess the changes in Zn-fractions in Inceptisol (Typic Haplustept) amended with or without organic and inorganic Zn fertilizer incubated at ambient temperature for 90 days. In fractions viz., WSEx, COMP, ABD, CBD, Res, Total and DTPA extractable Zn increased significantly upto 45 days and thereafter declined with increase in incubation time in all treatments.

A Field experiment was conducted in a fine loamy mixed Hyperthermic Typic Haplustept soil to study the effect of fly ash and FYM on yield of rice and on cracking pattern of soil. The grain and straw yield of rice was significantly increased with fly ash, FYM and their interactions.

An investigation was carried out at Norman E. Borlaug Crop Research Centre of G. B. Pant Univ. Agric. & Tech. Pantnagar, U. S. Nagar, Uttarakhand, India in order to study the influence of long-term applications of fertilizers and manures on different soil physical properties after forty two cycles in silty clay loam textured Typic Haplustept under ricewheat cropping sequence during 2012-13. The field was laid out in a randomized block design comprising of ten treatments.

A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of integrated nutrient management on soil microbial biomass carbon and enzyme activity under soybean of a Typic Haplustepts was conducted at Instructional Farm, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur during consecutive Kharif seasons of the year 2014 and 2015. Among the integrated nutrient management practices, the microbial biomass carbon and enzymatic activity of soil found decreasing order from flowering to at harvesting stage as well as the depth 0-15 and 15-30 cm during both the years of experiment and pooled basis.

The field investigation was carried out at Agronomy Instructional farm, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur, to the evaluate influence of combined use of enriched compost and biofertilizers soybean nutrition grown under typic haplustepts clay loam soil. The results obtained from field investigation indicated a significant improvement in content and uptake of micro and macro nutrient.
