A Study was conducted to find out the effect of organic mixtures on stone germination and seedling growth of mango (Mangifera indica L.) cv. Totapuri under nethouse and polyhouse in the Department of Horticulture, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru. The brewing industry is one of the largest users of water. Even though substantial technological improvements have been made in the past, it has been documented that approximately 3 to 10 litres of wastewater is generated per litre of beer. A lab and pot experiment was conducted during 2017-2018 to study the evaluation and effect of microbial inoculants for production of growth hormones and organic formulations on growth of baby corn under greenhouse condition. Field experiment on Effect of different levels of seed rate, nitrogen and zinc on yield and quality of fodder maize (Zea mays L.) was conducted at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru during kharif 2017. The incidence of major pests of pongamia in relation to weather parameters was observed during 2016-17 at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru. The important pests recorded on pongamia were blotch miner (Acrocercops anthrauris Fabricius), spiralling whitefly Aleurodiccus disperses (Russel), and the eriophyid mite, Aceria pongamiae Channabasavanna causing leaf galls.

Field experiment was conducted during rabi-2018 at Research Institute of Organic Farming field unit, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru to study the different sources of organic phosphorus and PSB on growth, seed yield and essential oil content in coriander laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with 10 treatments replicated thrice and the variety used was Co Cr-4. A field experiment entitled “studies on sources and levels of organic manures on yield, yield attributes and quality of black cumin” was conducted at RIOF, UAS, GKVK, Bengaluru during rabi 2017.
