The aim of this paper is to construct an Augmented Dynamic Model of Job Creation for Malaysian Manufacturing Sector. The previous studies on job creation model focus on the static model where the job creation influenced by real wages, real output, assets, expenditure of research and development (R&D), lag of R&D, export and foreign labour. However, the aggregate rate of unemployment in Malaysia could not explain the dynamic of labour market. The dynamic of labour market can be explained more precisely through the formula of job flows (including job creation and job destruction).

This study aims to evidence the state pattern of the relationship between unemployment, supply chain strategy, and economic growth by investigating the accuracy of the Okun’s Law and the Phillips’ Curve in Indonesia. Time series data are sourced from the World Bank. As an addition to the independent variable, the dependency ratio is acknowledged to investigate unemployment based on the premise that a high dependency ratio will reduce the unemployment rate.

We examine whether broadened access to Medicaid helped insulate households from declines in health coverage and health care access linked to the 2007-2009 Great Recession. Increased access to Medicaid during the Great Recession mitigated the effects of increased unemployment on the rate of unmet medical need, particularly for adults with limited income.

At the end of secondary education, young people can either start vocational training, enter university, directly transition to employment or become unemployed. Research assumes that post-secondary pathways have immediate and/or long-term impacts on health and well-being, but empirical investigations on this are scarce and restricted to few countries.

The findings show that college and university graduates outperform high school counterparts in terms of high-quality labour market outcomes, such as having higher wages and better employment protection, though the mere stance of being employed does not differ markedly among these graduate cohorts. The paper contributes to recent debates on higher education in a developing country like Vietnam, where the focus is on whether the move towards mass higher education might result in differed labour market outcomes for recent graduates.
