Unknown input systems

The paper investigates the lane following and changing maneuvers of autonomous vehicles in the presence of unknown disturbances, taking into account the dynamic system states and input constraints. The integrated longitudinal-lateral and yaw rate dynamics of the vehicle are simultaneously considered to improve the tracking accuracy and system stability when navigating under critical conditions.

This research proposes a new method to synthesize a robust observer for the polynomial systems in the presence of the uncertainties. Here, a special mathematical transformation is carried out to convert the uncertain polynomial systems into the unknown input polynomial systems and then the robust observer is designed for estimating the state variables of these systems.

The inner loop, a feedback control loop, is designed as a proportional – integral – derivative (PID) controller in order to eliminate unknown parts of the plants such as input-nonlinear elements, or unknown system disturbances. The outer loop, a learning feed-forward control (LFFC) loop, is designed based on the Model Reference Adaptive System algorithms called MRAS-based LFFC for compensating the cross-couple and non-linear elements.

Morphological processes in Semitic languages deliver space-delimited words which introduce multiple, distinct, syntactic units into the structure of the input sentence. These words are in turn highly ambiguous, breaking the assumption underlying most parsers that the yield of a tree for a given sentence is known in advance. Here we propose a single joint model for performing both morphological segmentation and syntactic disambiguation which bypasses the associated circularity.

Convolutive Mixtures and Blind Deconvolution This chapter deals with blind deconvolution and blind separation of convolutive mixtures. Blind deconvolution is a signal processing problem that is closely related to basic independent component analysis (ICA) and blind source separation (BSS). In communications and related areas, blind deconvolution is often called blind equalization. In blind deconvolution, we have only one observed signal (output) and one source signal (input). The observed signal consists of an unknown source signal mixed with itself at different time delays.
