Tiến triển và tiên lượng . Một nửa số bệnh nhân bị mề đay tổn thương kéo dài một năm, có 20 % tổn thương kéo dài 20 năm. Tiên lượng phần lớn là tốt trừ phù mạch di truyền có thể tử vong nếu không được điều trị. 8.
