The article presents the graphical analysis of economic indicators for 25 countries: GDP growth rate (%) and GDP per person employed (thousand US dollars) for the period from 1990 to 2016 by considering the supply chain strategy (SCS) and transparency. The authors carried out the decomposition of economic growth rates of selected countries according to the following factors: 1) extensive factors – the growth rate of the capital stock and the size of labor force; 2) intensive factors – R&D expenditures; 3) the dynamics of foreign direct investment in the country 4) supply chain strategy.

The aim of study is to estimate the capital which will prospectively be returning to Russia until 2025 through the special administrative regimes at Russkiy island and Oktyabr’skiy island in the Russian Federation. The findings show that the capital flight off the Russian economy has amounted to 653.2 billion US dollars for the last 20 years. But viewing the result of sanction’s pressure, by 2025, the total return of capital from the offshores at Cyprus and the Virgin Islands could prognostically reach 165.55 billion dollars.

This study compares the price predictions of the Vanguard real estate exchangetraded fund (ETF) (VNQ) using the back propagation neural network (BPNN) and autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) models. The input variables for BPNN include the past 3-day closing prices, daily trading volume, MA5, MA20, the S&P 500 index, the United States (US) dollar index, volatility index, 5-year treasury yields, and 10-year treasury yields. In addition, variable reduction is based on multiple linear regression (MLR).

Due to the increasing popularity of gold as an investment the demand for effective risk management techniques for gold investments has increased as well. In this paper we analyze several drivers of the price of gold that have been proposed in the past. Our analysis indicates that short-term volatility of the price of gold remains rather unpredictable with many of the explanations like the fund flows in physical gold ETF either unreliable or unstable over time.

Vietnam is experiencing a rising inflation and volatility in asset markets in recent years. The main reason for this is a large inflow of foreign exchange relative to economic size, which generates liquidity surplus, economic overheating and accumulation of international reserves. Exchange overvaluation is also occurring but it is partly offset by the falling US dollar to which the Vietnamese Dong is almost pegged. This type of economic boom is commonly observed in capital-receiving countries around the world.

The purpose of this study is twofold; firstly, the behavior of Turkish lira (TRL) forward rates against US Dollar (USD) and Euro will be evaluated; whether the interest rate parity holds and the market participants quote the forward foreign exchange rates according to the interest rate differentials. It is also analyzed whether the forward foreign exchange rate coincides with the spot exchange rate at the relevant maturity. Secondly, the unbiased forward rate hypothesis (UFH) is tested by the use of regression method.

This paper employs an event study, the Global Financial Crisis. Episodes of inefficient pricing, the externality, are exploited as a measure of systemic risk. The theoretical asset pricing model, the martingale representation, is shown to be a valid algorithm to identify episodes of efficient and inefficient pricing in time series. Systemic risk metrics are derived from episodes of inefficient pricing, utilizing a shadow volatility metric. The algorithm is forward looking, deriving macro-foundation metrics from actual agent market behavior.
