This paper develops an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model based on 96 experimental data to forecast the dynamic modulus of asphalt concrete mixtures. This study applied the repeated KFold cross-validation technique with 10 folds on the training data set to make the simulation results more reliable and find a model with more general predictive power.

Designing cantilever retaining walls is an important task in various construction projects. The study "Optimizing cantilever retaining wall design using feasibility rule-based evolutionary algorithm developed with Visual C# .NET" aims at constructing an evolutionary-algorithm-based cantilever retaining wall design approach. Differential Evolution (DE) and the feasibility rule-based constraint-handling (FRBCH) method are integrated to achieve the research objective. A DE based software program incorporating FRBCH has been developed with Visual C# .NET to facilitate its implementation.

The combination of hydrochlorothiazide (HCT), amlodipine besylate (AML) and olmesartan medoxomil (OLM) is highly effective in treating hypertension. The paper analyzes and determines the optimal parameters of tuned mass damper to reduce torsional vibration for the machine shaft. The research steps are as follows. First, the optimal parameters of tuned mass damper for the shafts are given by using the maximization of equivalent viscous resistance method. Second, a numerical simulation is performed for configuration of machine shaft to validate the effectiveness of the obtained analytical results.
