This paper presents the possible combinations of advantage factors from PFI and GDI system by applying an airassisted injector on Semi-direct Injection System (SDI). Firstly, an adaptor that uses compressed air to improve the atomization of conventional injector and reduce droplet size is made. Secondly, the modifications of intake port by using vortex plate and the other by closing one intake valve increase swirl ratio of in-cylinder air motions which help to form rich mixture around spark plug and lean mixture at other locations.

Bi-reactor open core gasifier was built with the capacity to process approximately 15 kg of briquettes per hour. The reactor was made up of double walled cylindrical body with 300 mm of outer cylinder diameter and 244 mm of inner cylinder diameters excluding the thickness of sheet 6 mm. Both the cylinders were made up of 3 mm M.S. sheet 18 SWG. Another reactor was fabricated with same specifications and both outlets were interconnected. Gate valves were fixed to regulate the air flow rate and control the producer gas.

In our previous study, the small-sized quasi-servo valve using two inexpensive on/off valves was developed and tested. The pressure control type quasi-servo valve was also proposed and tested by using the quasi-servo valve, a pressure sensor and an embedded controller. In this paper, the pressure control type quasi-servo valve is applied to a force control of the pneumatic cylinder, and its control performance is investigated.

Flexible Wedge The flexible wedge gate valve illustrated in Figure 6 is a one-piece disk with a cut around the perimeter to improve the ability to match error or change in the angle between the seats. The cut varies in size, shape, and depth. A shallow, narrow cut gives little flexibility but retains strength. A deeper and wider cut, or cast-in recess, leaves little material at the center, which allows more flexibility but compromises strength.
