Citrus is India's third-largest fruit crop, boosting production of 1.07 million hectares to 10.48 million tonnes (2013-14). Therefore, yields of 20-25 tonnes/ha have been recorded by some progressive growers, but average productivity is 9.78 tonnes/ha. Subabul is an important protein rich tree fodder which its lopping is extensively used as cattle fodder. It is drought resistant tree, generally grown as border or bund crop in farmers and its lopping is cut for green fodder for animals. For this purpose tree fodder cultivating seems to be a promising strategy for livestock farmers. A field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2018 at Agricultural College Farm, Bapatla to study the phenology and various weather health indices of pearlmillet grown under different spacings and dates of sowing. The crop sown on 2nd fortnight of July accumulated maximum growing degree days, photo thermal units, heat use efficiency, helio thermal use efficiency and photo thermal use efficiency whereas the highest helio thermal units were recorded under 2nd fortnight of August sowing to attain different phenological stages till maturity.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form obligate symbiotic association with the roots of crop plants and play a critical role in enhancing plant growth under semi-arid climatic conditions. Present investigation has been taken up to characterize the isolated AM fungal species from rhizosphere soils of different host crops grown across various Zones of Andhra Pradesh. A field experiment was conducted during Kharif season of 2015 at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Rice Research Station, Kaul, India to study the phenology, and various agrometeorological indices viz., accumulated growing degree days (GDD), helio thermal units (HTU), photo thermal units (PTU), radiation use efficiency (RUE) and heat use efficiency (HUE) of basmati rice cultivars grown under different dates of transplanting. Blackgram (Vigna mungo) is a major pulse crop grown in Tamil Nadu and leaf crinkle virus is an important disease that infects the crops at various stages of its growth, which reduce the yield drastically. There are conflicting reports on the transmission of ULCV by insects that includes aphids, leafhopper, whitefly and beetle. Hence, a study was carried out to identify the putative vectors involved in the transmission of the disease.
