The Mk. II Volkswagen Golf and Jetta range of models was introduced in March 1984, revised body and trim features being the main visual difference to the earlier range of models. The engine/transmission is mounted transversely at the front of the vehicle, drive being to the front wheels. Detailed improvements have been made throughout the years of manufacture to improve power output and economy.

A computational vehicle for lexicography was designed to keep to the constraints of meaningtext theory: sets of lexical correlates, limits on the form of definitions, and argument relations similar to lexical-functional grA--~-r. Relational data bases look like a natural framework for this. But linguists operate with a nonnormalized view. Mappings between semantic actants and grammatical relations do not fit actant fields uniquely. Lexical correlates and examples are polyvalent, hence denormalized. ...

This report is not a “how to guide.” It is a vehicle to present the initial work we have done toward the development of the “roadmap” previously discussed. Organizations looking for assistance in building or improving incident management capabilities should look to our other publications and available training as outlined at our main web site for CSIRT Development, http://www.cert.org/csirts/. Much of our initial work to date has been within the CSIRT community. This report, although applicable to broader incident management processes, is written from a CSIRT perspective.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) includes clothing or other special equip- ment that is issued to individual workers to provide protection against actual or potential exposure to ionizing radiations. It is used to protect each worker against the prevailing risk of external or internal exposure in circumstances in which it is not reasonably practicable to provide complete protection by means of engineering controls or administrative methods. Adequate personal protection depends on PPE being correctly selected, fitted and maintained.

Gesture is the vehicle used in fitting a character into the role it is called upon to act out. We have drawn variously, dogs, mice, owls, elephants, cats, people, and so on; each distinct characters with distinct bodily shapes and bodily gestures. To approach a model with the idea of copying a human figure plus its clothing could be called a waste of time. Our interest is in seeing the differences in each personality and their individualistic gestures and, like a good caricaturist, capture the essence of those differences.

Much of this debate reflects differences in analysis scope (Litman 2009b). Highway expansion advocates tend to focus on traffic congestion reduction objectives and ignore the negative effects of induced vehicle travel and sprawl. 1 Advocates of investments in alternative modes tend to consider a wider range of impacts and objectives, including traffic congestion reduction, parking cost savings, consumer cost savings, accident reductions, improved mobility for non-drivers, energy conservation, pollution reductions, and public fitness and health. ...

Moving to the new panel, check measurements again before cutting pillars etc. for jointing. At this point it is probably safer to leave a "safety margin" of about 1cm (in the right direction!!) when cutting any mid-panel joints. When the panel is offered up for a trial fit and clamped correctly in place, this overlap can be marked and removed more precisely, or crimped with a flanging tool so that one panel slots under the other. Clean up all surfaces to be welded, drilling spotweld holes in the new panel if required. Refit to the vehicle and adjust so that...

CDs make great plastic wheels if you have plastic inserts to fit inside the center hole. The inserts fit a 1 ⁄4-inch dowel. Since these are much larger than the other wheels, cars using them can roll easily. The Web site www.Kelvin.com sells plastic inserts, and your postal carrier probably delivers free CDs, such as those offering Internet services. A pine board with one-inch by four-inch sideboards (to keep cars from falling off the edge) makes a great ramp. To reduce the gap between the ramp and floor, plane or rasp wood off the bottom edge of the ramp.

Seat-belt reminders should be introduced in a step-wise approach to all new vehicles. First to all driver seats, secondly to all front passenger seats and then back seats. In parallel retro-fitting of vehicles with seat-belt reminders to all seats should be developed. The number of seat-belt reminders to be included in all manufactured cars should be increased through a combination of measures. Firstly, fiscal incentives should be provided to encourage their take up by consumers.

Trends in Taxable Sales. The main determinant of SUT receipts is taxable sales—the amount spent by individuals and businesses on goods that are subject to the SUT. Significant components of General Fund taxable sales include vehicle sales (9 percent of taxable sales), construction materials used to build residential and commercial properties (6 percent), and consumer spending on dining (12 percent), electronics (3 percent), and furniture (2 percent).

Green projects - particularly sustainable energy sources and clean technology - include multiple technologies, at different stages of maturity, and require different types of financing vehicle. Most pension funds are more interested in lower risk investments which provide a steady, inflation adjusted income stream - with green bonds consequently gaining interest as an asset class, particularly - though not only - with the SRI universe of institutional investors.

I think that running or working in a small business is one of the coolest things a person can do. Really. I mean it. Sure, sometimes the environment is dangerous — kind of like the Old West — but it’s also an environment in which you have the opportunity to make tons of money. And it’s also an environment in which you can build a company or a job that fits you. In comparison, many brothers and sisters working in big-company corporate America are furiously trying to fit their round pegs into painfully square holes. Yuck....
