  • Two consecutive field experiments after rice crop were conducted during 2011-12 and 2012-13 in the Crop Research Centre, of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Uttar Pradesh. Ten different treatments were implied to evaluate the residual effect of vermicompost and applied inorganic fertilizers on wheat crop. Significantly taller plants than T2 during both the years were measured in those treatments where 4 ton vermicompost was applied in rice.

  • The awareness for vermicompost production for soil health as well as for entrepreneurship development was created among the rural population of Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chittorgarh through Front Line Demonstration programmes. The FLD programmes were conducted during year 2015 to 2017 and the study was conducted during year 2018-19. The study was conducted on the beneficiaries of FLD programmes and total 100 farmers were selected randomly.

  • A field experiment was conducted during winter season of 2011-2012 at Instructional Farm of Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology Narendra Nagar (Kumarganj), Faizabad.   • The present investigation was under taken in the Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Allahabad during rabi season (2016-2017).   • In the present paper the year wise production and sales of organic inputs are taken into account to derive the total area and economic impact thereof. The receipts of produce sold at laboratories served as the source of information to the study. The results indicate that, the sale of inputs is on rise, so also the farmers who are adopting these technologies in their own field are also more. People are approaching KVK for these technologies. To increase the production of organic inputs KVK, Bagalkot is imparting the technologies of Vermicompost production (Biradar, 2006).

  • The experiment was conducted in Division of Agroforestry, Sher-e-kashmir University of Agricultural sciences and Technology of Jammu, Chatha, during the year 2017. Mature fruits were collected from randomly selected four trees and were graded into small (S), medium (M) and large size (L) on the basis of diameter. Birauli, Farmers were selected from the four villages namely Morsand, Harpur, Chandauli, and Jagdishpur under Pusa block of Samastipur district and imparted training on vermicompost production technology. 40 trained and 40 untrained farmers from these villages were selected for study purpose making the sample size up to 80 farmers.

  • Vermicompost scheduling on nutrient uptake at different growth stages of rice crop were assessed at two field experiments conducted during 2011-12 and 2012-13 in the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut. Different levels of vermicompost along with nitrogen (N) were included in the study. Initially higher nutrient availability in soil in these treatments responded well to plant growth and plant nutrient contents and a significant variation in dry matter accumulation and plant nutrient contents was noticed.
