Skin infections are most common in dogs, especially pugs are more prone due to its folded skin nature. A Pug of 3 years age weighing around 10 kgwas brought to the Veterinary Clinical Complex, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad with the complaint of alopecia, pruritus, decrease in the appetite and erythematous lesions all over the body. Detailed clinical examination revealed mild increase in temperature (102.50 F) and normal heart rate, pulse and respirations. Skin scrapings and bacterial cultural examination revealed mixed infection of Demodicosis and Staphylococcal pyoderma.

Accumulation of chyle in the thoracic cavity is called as chylothorax. A five year old male Rottweiler was presented to the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Maanuthy with the history of limb edema and labored breathing. On auscultation of lung crackles and high intensity sounds and muffled heart sounds were observed. Radiography confirms the presence of effusion in the thoracic cavity. Solitary Ventricular Premature Complexes were observed in the three-minute electrocardiographic examination. Thoracic ultrasonography revealed anechoic areas, which confirmed pleural effusions.

A six year old crossbred HF cow was presented to the Veterinary Clinical Complex, the history of no faecal output from the last 4 days along with anorexia. Animal was full term pregnant. Palpation of the rumen from left paralumbar fossa and per rectal revealed severely impacted rumen. Pervaginal examination revealed post-cervical right sided uterine torsion of approximately ≥180 degree. Based on the findings of clinical examination, the diagnosis of ruminal impaction and post-cervical right side uterine torsion was confirmed.

The data relating to the present investigation has been generated from ten clinical cases of cystic endometrial hyperplasia-pyometra complex in dogs presented to the Small Animal Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstetrics Unit, Department of Clinics, Madras Veterinary College Teaching Hospital, Chennai during the period from May’ 2017 to July’ 2017. All the dogs were subjected to ultrasonographic examinations and haemato-biochemical studies for confirmatory diagnosis.

A 13 year old, male, intact, non-descriptive dog weighing 23 kg was brought to Madras Veterinary College Teaching Hospital at small animal out patient surgery unit, with a history of progressive painful swelling at the left elbow joint. On clinical examination the mass was hard, irregularly contoured and the pet evinced mild pain on palpation. Fine needle aspiration cytology was performed to identify the nature of cells and to confirm the diagnosis which revealed Fibroma.

A study on Endoscopic evaluation of lower urinary tract affections in male dogs was carried out at Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex of Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur. Total 21 dogs with various lower urinary tract affections were evaluated. Dogs presented with clinical signs such as dysuria with dribbling urine, distended bladder, haematuria, oliguria, stranguria, anuria, foul smell in urine, inappetance, vomiting etc.

Anaplasma is one of the most rickettsiale diseases in ruminants. Five species including Anaplasma marginale, Anaplasma centrale, Anaplasma bovis, Anaplasma phagocytophilium and Anaplasma ovis are recognized in ruminant animals. Anaplasma causes major economic losses to the livestock owner. Anaplasma is mainly transmitted by mechanical way such as by biting flies, lice and biological by different tick species and fomites in livestock.

A total of 52 suspected dogs with symptoms of harsh, chronic non-productive coughing, fever and anorexia were examined for tuberculosis in the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Guwahati, Assam. SIT carried out by injecting 0.1ml of tuberculin (2TU, 5TU and 10TU) at either the skin of the thorax at the level of the costochrondral junction or the skin on the medial aspect of the hind limb in the thigh region and blood was collected aseptically for IFN-γ assay. Out of which the 2 dogs were found positive for TST and 3 dogs were positive for IFN-gamma assay.

The research on neurological examination for diagnosis of spinal disorders in dogs was undertaken at the College Hospital of Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur during 2015 to 2018 on fifty-two clinical cases of dogs with the aim to study efficacy of individual neurological tests in diagnosing the cases of spinal affections. The dogs were treated either by medicinal treatment or surgery.
