Villages of randomly selected

The purpose of this study is to assess the forest resources exploitation and management of local people in Pale Township, Sagaing Region, Myanmar. Data were collected through structured questionnaire survey, focus group discussion and key informant interviews. 211 households were selected randomly from eight villages located inside reserved forests and outside reserved forests.

Managerial problems of each household are different and it does not have readymade answer. Hence the women in India have to struggle in utilizing her managerial skill in managing the family resources. All women are not born with managerial skills and have to learn through observation and training. The present investigation was carried out in four villages i.e. Nandkheda, Brahmangaon, Sayala and Lohagaon of Marathwada region. A total sample of 100 women 25 each from four villages were selected randomly.

The concept of vocational training in agriculture through KVK grew substantially due to greater demand for improved agricultural technology by the farmers. The study was carried out in Tlangnuam block of Aizawl District of Mizoram. The Tlangnuam block was purposively selected because of large number of farmers’ participation in KVK’s training programme. For the selection of respondents, a list of ginger trainees of KVK during preceding three years (2016-17 to 2018-19) was prepared. Out of 210 trainees list, only 60 farmers were randomly selected from KVK adopted villages of Tlangnuam block.

The present study was conducted to find out the profitability of cultivation and marketing of brinjal in Kalaburagi district. Multistage random sampling design was used for selection of taulks, villages and cultivators. The study revealed that farmers incurred a total cost of 68,034 per acre of which variable costs accounted for 86.05 per cent.

The present study was carried out with objectives to examine the marketing pattern of sweet corn and to identify the production and marketing constraints of sweet corn and suggest suitable measures to overcome them. The study area is confined to Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh, a sample of 45 sweet corn farmers comprises 15 small, 15 medium and 15 large were selected by proportionate random sampling method from three village viz. The present study was carried out during 2018-20 in Jaswantnagar block of Etawah district. Five villages and 120 respondents were selected randomly and data were collected through personal interview method. Collected data were analyzed by using appropriate statistical methods for the interpretation at data. It was found that majority of respondents (58.67%) had medium level of adoption followed by (33.34%) had lowest level of adoption followed by (16.67%) respondents had high level of adoption regarding Bio-fertilizer.

The research work entitled “Economics of Brinjal production in Dhamtari Block of Chhattisgarh – An Economic Analysis.’’ was carried out with a view to estimate the costs and returns in brinjal production. Five Villages from Dhamtari block were selected purposively on the basis of area under brinjal crop. After selection of this villages, a list of brinjal growing farmers were prepared and further categorized into three size group on the basis of size of land holding, i.e. small farmer (up to 2.0 ha), medium farmer (2.01 to 4 ha), From each size group 20 farmers were selected randomly.

The present investigation was carried out in Sivasagar district of Assam by interviewing 120 farm women selected randomly from 6 villages with an objective to assess profile characteristics and extent of participation of farm women in sericulture. Appropriate statistical was used for analysis and interpretation of data. The study revealed that middle aged farm women were associated with sericulture activities and sericulture contributed around 14% total annual family income.
