Nho (Vitis vinifera L. Vitaceae) được chứng minh có tác dụng chống oxy hóa với nhiều lợi ích trên tim mạch, kháng khuẩn, nâng cao hệ thống miễn dịch. Nghiên cứu về tác dụng dược lý của nho trồng tại Việt Nam còn hạn chế. Bài viết trình bày phân tích sơ bộ thành phần hóa học, định lượng hàm lượng polyphenol toàn phần, khảo sát hoạt tính chống oxy hóa in vitro của một số giống nho tại Ninh Thuận.

Polyploidization is an important technique used in grape breeding to create new genetic resources and can be induced using some antimitotic agents, including colchicine. Plants with increased ploidy can gain better quality than their original diploids in some characteristics. "Induction of polyploidy in grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) seedlings by in vivo colchicine applications" was carried out to obtain polyploid genotypes under in vivo conditions.

"Evaluation of gene expression levels in grapevine cultivars after Erysphe necator and methyl jasmonate treatments" analyses concluded that the susceptible and tolerant cultivars utilized different mechanisms and that TF genes were induced in the presence of PM and MeJa. It was determined that PM showed different levels of expression in 3 genes and 4 cultivars. MeJa treatment had a stimulating effect on the response to E. necator infection.

In this research, the amounts of trans-resveratrol, (+)-catechin, (-)- epicatechin, and malvidin-3-glucoside which are among phenolic compounds as well as the total phenolic compound, total anthocyanin, and antioxidant capacity changes were examined in the Boğazkere (Vitis vinifera L.) grape, pomace before press, pomace after press and wine. In all parameters examined, a decrease was seen when proceeding from grape to wine, only (+)- catechin and (-)- epicatechin levels were detected to be higher in the prepress pomace.

The study "Characterization of grapevine (V. vinifera L.) varieties grown in Yozgat province (Turkey) by simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers" was conducted to characterise 50 grape varieties grown in Yozgat by molecular methods. Molecular definitions were realized using 9 simple sequence repeat (SSR) primers (VVS2, VVMD5, VVMD7, VVMD24, VVMD27, VVMD28, VVMD31, VrZAG62, and VrZAG79), including six microsatellite loci used for grapevine variety collections by the European Union funded project (GENRES 081), accepted as the minimum standard set (core set) by the world.

Powdery mildew caused by the fungal pathogen Erysiphe necator is a global disease that reduces yield and quality in grapes (Vitis vinifera L.). Most grape cultivars are susceptible to this pathogen and thus the selection of powdery mildew resistant cultivars is a major objective of grape breeding programs. In this study, we evaluated powdery mildew resistance of a diverse set of 28 commonly cultivated local and international V. vinifera cultivars after artificial inoculations with Erysiphe necator.
