Waste pollute this water source
-
This paper studiesthe water quality degradation of Sat river -the section flowing through Hai Duong province and waste sources pollute Sat river water. Five surveyed locations along Sat River were identified, and water samples were taken for five consecutive years from 2016 to 2020.

Hoang Mai, a district in the south of Hanoi, has a lot of reservoirs, supplying fish to the whole city. Due to the development of the industry, many heavy metals from waste pollute this water source. In this research, the content of heavy metals in mud and water in Dai Tu fish reservoir, Hoang Mai, Hanoi, was determined to evaluate the pollution levels.

Collagen from fish is attracting a lot of attention thanks to its high absorbance ability, biocompatibility as well as non-religious obstruction and cheap sources. It could be applied in many fields, for example: food, cosmetic, or biomedicine. Using of collagen also helps reduce the environment pollution from fish scale waste in fish processing. In this study, collagen extracted from Vietnamese fresh-water tilapia fish scales was used in combination with carrageenan for the improvement of drug release control.

The earth’s surface is two-thirds water, yet most of this is undrinkable or unusable because it is either seawater or ice. Of the 1% that is available as fresh water, most is used for farming or industry. Fresh water pollution is the major problem because many rivers and streams are being polluted with pesticides, industrial waste, and sewage. In poor and developing countries, the addition of sewage to the sources of water leads to diseases, and even death. A United Nations’ report estimates that more than 78% of people drink from polluted water supplies.

The deterioration of water quality in China seriously affects the inhabitants. For example, the residents in Chongqing and Guangyuan are suffering from diseases due to water pollution from industrial wastewater (Searchina 2004ab). Another serious problem is unsafe drinking water. According to Chinanet (2005), 300 million people in China cannot drink water which passes the standard for safe drinking, and some people in villages are suffering from diseases due to unsafe drinking water, like in Chongqing and Guangyuan.

Water pollution is the contamination of water resources by harmful wastes or toxins. This type of pollution can be dangerous to animals and plant populations in and around lakes, rivers, polluted groundwater areas or oceans, and can pose major problems for humans as well. Although natural phenomena, such as volcanoes and algae blooms, can create drastic changes in water quality, water is typically deemed polluted only when impaired by human contaminants.

Mangalore coast is a stretch of about 22 Kms at the western part of the Western Ghats of the Indian peninsula. This area is receiving huge quantity of pollution load from the major industries and factories located nearby. This pollution load is discharged into the sea either directly or through the major west flowing rivers of the region, Nethravathi and Gurupura. The pollution load includes runoff of the sediment, waste from oil refineries, nutrients and pesticides, iron ore residues from the nearby iron are company and chemicals from the chemical factory from the point source.

The use of industrially manufactured nitrogen (N) fertilizers increased rapidly in developed countries between 1960 and 1980. This facilitated a large increase in the production of feed and food grains (maize, wheat, and rice) per unit of cultivated land, but in some regions it also contributed to enrichment of surface and groundwater with various forms of nitrogen. Fertilizer, however, is not the only source of nitrogen that can cause contamination of surface waters.

The generation of wastes as a result of human activities has been continuously speeding up since the beginning of the industrial revolution. Hence, both optimized waste water treatment technologies and modern tools to assess the effects of pollution sources are necessary to prevent the contamination of aquatic ecosystems The book offers an interdisciplinary collection of topics concerning waste water treatment technologies, water quality monitoring and evaluation of waste water impact on natural environments.

But we are only now learning how to look after water. Acid rain has polluted as many as 18.000 lakes and our seas. And rivers are polluted with waste products. It is now very expensive to try to repair the damage which has been done. We have some hope for the future, though, because new sources of water have been discovered

Every year in the U.S. factories release over 3 million tons of toxic chemicals into the land, air and water. This hazardous waste causes us to lose over 15 million acres of land every year, it leads to respiratory complications and other health problems and it makes our rivers and lakes too polluted for us to swim in and drink.
