In study "Impact of urbanization on seawater quality in Quang Ninh province" the authors use indicators to assess the level of water pollution, such as chemical and microbial pollution and measure the impact of urban factors, such as population growth, wastewater discharge and water consumption. In the survey results of seawater quality in two seasons, the rainy season and the dry season, there is a difference in some specific hydrological indicators, such as Coliform exceeding the allowable threshold in the dry season and iron and ammonium content tending to increase.

The objective of this paper is to apply Pham Ngoc Ho’s method for aggregate water quality assessment of surface water and wastewater at different monitoring points around Hanoi, Vietnam. We measured concentration of 10 parameters in Hoan Kiem lake, West lake, Giang Vo lake and 25 different monitoring points at rivers in Hanoi for surface water quality evaluation, and 7 parameters at 45 monitoring points in industrial zones/clusters in Hanoi for wastewater quality evaluation.

Quality-assessed analytical methods are required to determine organic priority substances (PS) in biota for the monitoring of the water status according to the EU Water Framework Directive. Although the literature describes several analytical methods to determine these substances in fish, discussion about the efficiency of the clean-up procedures to remove the lipids in the final organic extract (and decrease the disturbance of co-extractives at the detection step) is scarce.

The study was conducted to evaluate surface water quality, location, frequency and monitoring indicators of surface water of Tien River, Tien Giang province in 2019. CA results revealed that from 7 current monitoring locations can be reduced to 4 locations and 4 monitoring periods into 2 - 3 monitoring periods still ensuring the representativeness of water quality on Tien River in Tien Giang province.

This paper presents the annual monitoring data on the water environment of the two mouths of the Cai river and Tac river, Nha Trang bay, during the period 2015–2019. Statistical data showed an increase in dissolved oxygen demand (DO), biological oxygen demand BOD5, and the concentrations of ammonia, Zn and Cu. Seasonal variation revealed that most of studied parameters’ concentrations, especially nutrients, were higher in the rainy season.

Aquatic macrophytes are one of the key components of freshwater ecosystems and contribute to ecosystem functioning and environmental sustainability. They are assumed to be an ideal biomonitoring tool in long-term monitoring programs implemented by the EU Water Framework Directive due to their sensitivity to environmental factors. Therefore, this study focuses on the evaluation of the ecological status in Lake Sapanca using macrophyte composition and abundance in order to make future predictions on the health of aquatic ecosystems and to form effective management.

This study focuses on accessing the status and changes of coastal sea water quality in Hai Ninh and Nhat Le Beach in Quang Binh province from 2013-2017. According to monitoring results in 2017, generally, the sea water quality in Hai Ninh and Nhat Le Beach in dry and rain seasons was pretty good; all of the values of parameters were much lower than the standard. The values of the monitoring parameters vary between the observation periods in the year. TSS content tend to be higher in the first survey, lower in the third survey.

Chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) has been used extensively as an essential indicator of trophic state in the assessment and monitoring of surface water quality environments. The environmental factors can influence Chl-a concentrations; thus, to determine the relationship between Chl-a concentration and factors. The research was carried out in dry season (March 2016) and wet season (September 2016) in Tri An reservoir, Dong Nai Province, Vietnam and performed by Spearman's correlation analysis and Linear regression analysis.
