Public parks in cities, with most of their area being green areas, play an important role not only in balancing the living environment, but also in contributing to the minimisation of flood risks through absorption and the storing of water. This creates the motivation to restore, maintain and develop green areas in inner cities, especially in centralised areas, which have a high level of urbanisation potentially associated with a shortage of such green-lands.

This has increased the risk of water pollution and reduced the quality of surface water, resulting in a shortage of clean water for the daily lives of people in the province. The article has studied the application of the MIKE11-ECOLab model and correlation analysis method to assess the current situation of the wastewater receiving capacity of the central river system in Nam Dinh province. At the same time, it also analyzes and predicts the wastewater receiving capacity of the central river system in the province according to the trend of socio-economic development.

The study was conducted to determine the above and below ground biomass of Acacia hybrid (Acacia auriculiformis*Acacia mangium) of different diameter classes at La Nga Forestry Company Limited in Dong Nai. A typical standard tree survey method was used to measure fresh biomass, the study cut down 45 trees of different ages and diameters for measuring the fresh biomass with 4 parts including trunk, branches, leaves (above-ground biomass), and roots (below-ground biomass).

Irrigation plays an important role in socio-economic development in the Red River Basin because of not only ensuring food security but also increasing food export value. However, it is the largest water consumer. In the context of increasing water shortage, it is essential to determine the economic value of water used in irrigation for enhancing water use efficiency.

The bathing behavior of woodpeckers (Picidae) is almost unknown and the paucity of reports of bathing in the family has led to suppositions that they may do so rarely. An unusual observation of the Atlantic Forest endemic Robust Woodpecker Campephilus robustus dew-bathing socially is reported from Paraguay and discussion of its significance follows. Dew-bathing has been reported for a small number of New World bird families and has often been linked to a shortage of water, but has never been previously reported in New World Picidae.

Drought is a phenomenon related to water shortage that affects various aspects of life, economy and environment. The Vietnamese Mekong Delta (VMD) of Vietnam has recently experienced more frequent extreme weather events, notably drought. Nevertheless, few studies have focused on drought monitoring in this region.

Studies on soybean GmNAC085 transcription factor revealed that the gene expression in plants was induced by water shortage treatments and its overexpression in the model plant Arabidopsis displayed improved plant tolerance characteristics towards drought stress. In this study, we continued analyzing the biological functions of GmNAC085 using transgenic soybean system overexpressing GmNAC085 gene, by targeting at a number of plant physiological features and biochemical activities in response to limited water growing condition.

Water scarcity is not a recent problem. Shortage of drinking water is constant, severe, and wide-spread in the worldwide. Worldwide, people are suffering from lack in adequate fresh drinking water. The amount of fresh water on the earth is only 2.53 percent of the total amount. We can be solved this problem by extraction of water from atmospheric air using condensation principle. It is suitable techniques for remote villages in order to produce clean drinking water.

The water conservation is vital to maintain agricultural production in areas of small rainfall or jagged rain sharing. Under this situation, surface and Sub-surface drip irrigation may play a momentous role in overcoming the paucity of water and economic production of vegetable crops, particularly in water shortage areas. Drip irrigation is the most efficient slow, even application of low-pressure water to soil and plants using plastic tubing placed near the plants' root zone.

The objective of this study is to identify such constraints and to suggest appropriate solutions to resolve these limitations through farmer-industry interface. Water scarcity, labour shortage and disease infestations were the most limiting factors in production of pulpwood by tie-up farmers with industries. The non-tie up farmers also expressed water scarcity as the most important production constraint. The second major constraint in the pulpwood production was non-availability of scientific knowledge to carry out the farm operations at appropriate time.
