Mulches have been widely applied in crop production in order to minimize water requirements, preserve soil moisture, and curb weed growth for higher yield and water use efficiency. This research aimed to assess the impact of organic mulches on peanut productivity in the coastal areas of Thanh Hoa province.

The study aims to assess the diesel oil adsorption capacity of activated carbon derived from rambutan peel, a prevalent agricultural by-product in Vietnam. The adsorption process will be investigated using various adsorption isotherms (Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, Dubin-Radushkevich), adsorption kinetics (pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order).

In this study, we identified the effect of different GO doses (0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.0 mg/mL) on seed germination of melon (Cucumis melo L. cvs. ‘Hasanbey’, ‘Kırkağaç-589’, and ‘Kırkağaç-637’) seeds under the salinity stress. The effect of GO as a priming material showed variance depending on the GO dose, melon cultivars, and level of salinity stress. It was determined that the germination percentage and the length of the radicle were higher in GO primed seeds compared to the control in all the melon cultivars tested.

The precision "Systematic and quantitative evaluation of rice drought tolerance and construction of high throughput screening platform" identification and evaluation of rice drought resistance always is the key problem for succession of drought resistance study and breeding. We found that grain yield-related traits of rice have ecological effect with soil moisture conditions. Therefore, gradient and quantitative water controlling (GQWC) experiment was carried out in order to study the evaluation system of rice drought tolerance.

Pig farming generates highly polluting wastewaters which entail serious environmental issues when not adequately managed. Microalgae systems can be promising for cost, energy and environment-efficient treatment of piggery wastewater (PWW). Aside from clean water, the produced biomass can be used as biostimulants and biopesticides contributing to a more sustainable agriculture.

Vegetative growth traits as well as biological and seed yield of faba bean values were decreased as sowing date delayed beyond the 1st of November. Meanwhile application of 0.60 of (IR) irrigation treatments led to decline vegetative growth traits as well as biological and seed yield. Nevertheless, the 1.00 irrigation treatments gave the highest grain yield.

Application of diverse conventional and non-conventional approaches/ technologies for sugarcane improvement meet problems of complex genome, narrow genetic base of crop, genetic recombination, and poor fertility coupled with long breeding cycle. To sustain the production, productivity of sugar industry in rational manner, it is imperative to counsel sugarcane farmers for the selection of ideal varieties based on growth duration and maturity groups, planting crop season and kind of crop (plant/ratoon) to be taken.

A number of technological and socio-economic constraints are cited for this poor adoption and up-scaling. With climate change posing a major challenge for rainfed agriculture and the constraints in further expansion of irrigated area in the country, rainwater harvesting and efficient water use are inevitable options to sustain rainfed agriculture in future.

An alarming fall in groundwater table in Northwest India demands a major shift from traditional method of rice cultivation to direct seeding of rice. Dry-seeded rice has emerged as a viable option to save water, labour, energy and time. Proper tillage and irrigation practices are needed to improve water productivity in dry-seeded rice through reduction in emergence of weeds and reduce ground water depletion and pesticide use. A field experiment was conducted at the research farm of the Department of Soil Science, Punjab Agricultural University...

Rice-wheat is a major cropping system prominent on 2.5 million hectares in Punjab. Irrigation is commonly used to stabilize the productivity of this system using surface canal and sub-soil tube well water. Judicious use of water and land resources has been a major challenge for agriculture and it is imperative to use these scarce resources efficiently.

Agricultural sector consumes the largest percentage of freshwater to cater to the need for food forever increasing population but the resources like land and water are becoming scares. Therefore, we need to increase water use efficiency by incorporating the modern drip method of irrigation. One of the ways of alleviating water scarcity is by enhancing its use efficiency or productivity.
