Results revealed that crop sequence decreased significantly numbers (m2 ) and dry weight of grassy, broad-leaved and total weeds (g/m2 ) in both seasons. Sowing pea after clover/sorghum and clover/peanut decreased the numbers (m2 ) and dry weight of weeds (g/m2 ) and increased significant plant height, number of branches/plant.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is grown in tropical and subtropical regions of the world for its spice and medicinal values. The emergence and early growth of ginger is inherently slow and weed growth can impact on yield. It has slow initial growth rate and shallow root system. As a result, it is invaded by a variety of weeds. A field experiment was carried out during 2015-16 and 2016-17 in randomized block design with three replications under AICRP on Weed Management at College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, India with nine treatments.

The conventional use of the same post-emergence herbicides repeatedly may result in poor management of the early weed flush in wheat under zero-tilled (ZT) condition. This may hasten development of herbicide resistant weeds as well. In this study, a possible weed management has been envisaged in ZT and conventional till (CT) wheat during 2013-14 and 2014-15 using tillage and weed control treatments. It was observed that ZT caused a considerable reduction in the population of narrow-leaved, broad-leaved and total weeds compared to CT.

Effect of sowing dates and weed control measure on growth and yield of chickpea in Western Rajasthan
An experiment was carried out during rabi 2015-16 to evaluate growth and yield of chickpea under different sowing dates and weed control measure. The experiment was laid out in split-plot design with three replications, assigning twenty treatments consisting of four date of sowing (15 October, 30 October, 15 November and 30 November) as main plot treatments and five weed control measure (Weedy check, Weed free, Pendimethalin @ 0.75 kg/ha as pre emergence, Imazethapyr @ 20 g/ha at 20 DAS as post emergence and Quizalofop@ 37.5 g/ha at 20 DAS as post emergence) as sub-plots.

A field experiment on evaluation of herbicides for control of weeds in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) was conducted at School of Agriculture, ITM University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh during the winter season of 2015-16. The experiment comprised of ten post emergence herbicides application along with weed free and weedy check treatments. Maximum weed control efficiency was observed in weed free treatment followed by Sulfosulfuron + Metsulfuron, Isoproturon and Sulfosulfuron treatments. Sulfosulfuron + Metsulfuron recorded lowest weed index.

Widespread resistance in Phalaris minor is a major challenge for sustainable productivity. Recent increases in the development of herbicide resistance in Phalaris minor worldwide demand a high up strategies to control this weed. Herbicide-resistant weeds are a constraint to weed management. The use of potential management strategies is crucial in assuring sustainable production. A pot-culture experiment was conducted during the winter season of 2017-18 with the objective to evaluate the herbicidal efficacy for management of isoproturon-resistant Phalaris minor.
