An investigation was carried out at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Science and Technology of Jammu during 2013-14 and 2014-15, to assess the influence of 4 tillage systems and 3 weed-control practices on weed dynamics and productivity in maize-wheat cropping sequence. In maize, grain yield of maize was statistically at par in continuous conventional tillage (CT-CT) in both maize and wheat and conventional tillage in maize and zero tillage in wheat (CT-ZT).

Weed management in conservation agriculture is major issues for attaining sustainable crop yields. The effect of tillage, residue and weed management practices was evaluated on weed population of Medicago sativa, Chichorium intybus, Sonchus arvensis and Physalis minima among dicots, as well as the productivity of mustard in the maize-mustard-greengram cropping system during 2015-2017.

A field research was carried out during 2015-16 and 2016-17 at Instructional cum Research Farm, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur. Fifteen treatment combinations (Five tillage and three weed management practices) were tested in split plot design with three replications. Soil dehydrogenase activity was not influenced significantly by different tillage practices alone and in combination of tillage and weed management practices. However, dehydrogenase activity was significantly influenced by weed management practices under rice maize cropping system both the years of study.

A field experiment was conducted at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during kharif 2015 to investigate the influence of intercropping systems and weed management practices on weed density, dry weight and weed control efficiency in maize under irrigated condition. The experiment was laid out in split plot design and replicated thrice. Three intercropping systems viz., maize alone (I1), maize + blackgram (1:1 ratio) (I2) and maize + blackgram (2:2 ratio) (I3) were evaluated under main plot and four weed management practices viz., unweeded check (Control) 9 (W1), Pendimethalin 0.

A field investigation was carried out at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during kharif seasons of 2010 and 2011 to evaluate the weed control options for transgenic stacked (TC 1507 and NK 603) and non-transgenic maize hybrids. The experiments were conducted with the following objective to evaluate the weed control efficiency and crop productivity with K salt of glyphosate formulations under field conditions. Treatments consisted of two transgenic stacked hybrids named 30V92 and 30B11 applied with glyphosate as early post emergence at 900 and 1800 ga.
