The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of environmental variables and different seasons onnormal milk constituents in Marathwadi buffalo. The milk samples were collected from Marathwadi buffaloes(n=6) fortnightly while, environmental variables i.e., dry bulb temperature (DbT), wet bulb temperature (WbT), wind speed (WS) and solar intensity (LUX) were recorded at a weekly interval (at 14:00 hrs).

The process of evaporation is influenced by a number of factors, the most common and important meteorological parameters affecting evaporation are solar radiation, temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and atmospheric pressure. There are number of models for the estimation of evaporation developed by investigators in different fields of study. The interrelated factors are incorporated into various formulae for estimating evaporation. Due to complex interactions between the components of the land-plantatmospheric systems the reliable estimation of evaporation are extremely difficult.

This paper aims to quantify the amount of water surface evaporation with special regard to the EWM evaporation pan and to relate the direct measurements to the Penman and other empirical equations. Based on the available 10-minute interval data on the EWM pan evaporation and the data on precipitation for the same intervals, the net water surface evaporation was estimated for the period from July 2010 to October 2012 (excluding the time EWM pan did not function in winter).

Evaporative cooling system is one of the cooling techniques, but the limitation is that cooling can be done up to wet bulb temperature only, so a study has been taken up to design, develop a two-stage evaporative cooling system. Cooling performance of twostage indirect/direct evaporative cooling system was experimentally investigated. For this purpose, a two-stage evaporative cooling experimental setup consisting of an indirect cooling stage (IDC) followed by a direct evaporative cooling stage (DEC) was designed, constructed and tested.
