Improving driver ride comfort of a wheel loader is important to avoid potential health hazards from the whole-body vibration. A fuzzy self-tuning of PID controller is designed to control the damping coefficient of Semi-active cab isolation system (SCIS) for a wheel loader. A dynamic model of a wheel loader is establish under survey conditions for analysis and evaluation.

We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to clarify the effects of different exercise modes (resistance training [RT], whole body vibration training [WBVT], and mixed training [MT, resistance training combined with other exercises such as balance, endurance and aerobic training]) on muscle strength (knee extension strength [KES]) and physical performance (Timed Up and Go [TUG], gait speed [GS] and the Chair Stand [CS]) in older people with sarcopenia.

Whole-body vibration has been suggested for the prevention of muscle mass loss and muscle wasting as an attractive measure for disuse atrophy. This study examined the effects of daily intermittent whole-body vibration and weight bearing during hindlimb suspension on capillary number and muscle atrophy in rat skeletal muscles.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune condition that results in pain and disability. Patients with RA have a decreased functional ability and are forced into a sedentary lifestyle and as such, these patients often become predisposed to poor bone health. Patients with RA may also experience a decreased health related quality of life (HRQoL) due to their disease.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a respiratory condition characterised by dyspnoea, excessive sputum production, chronic cough, bronchitis and emphysema. Functionally, exercise tolerance is poor for people with COPD and is linked to difficulty in performing daily tasks.

Benefits of community-based whole-body vibration (WBV) as a mode of exercise training for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) have not been investigated. The low skill demand of WBV may enhance habitual sustainability to physical activity by people with COPD, provided efficacy of WBV can be established.

Patients with stable COPD show improvements in exercise capacity and muscular function after the application of whole body vibration. We aimed to evaluate whether this modality added to conventional physiotherapy in exacerbated hospitalised COPD patients would be safe and would improve exercise capacity and quality of life.

Episodes of low back pain (LBP) are very common among workers. A number of occupational risk factors have been shown to increase the risk for LBP. One of these risk factors is exposure to whole body vibration, which is a known characteristic in driving professions.

Whole-body vibration(WBV) has been suggested for the prevention of subchondral bone loss of knee osteoarthritis (OA) . This study examined the effects of different frequency of whole-body vibration on subchondral trabecular bone microarchitecture, cartilage degradation and metabolism of the tibia and femoral condyle bone, and joint pain in an anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT)–induced knee osteoarthritisrabbit model.

Tractor is a versatile vehicle designed to deliver high torque at much lower speed. It is mainly used for off-road condition and different field operations. Among these, rotavators are getting popularised as it can be used for both primary and secondary tillage operation as well as both in wet land and dry land operations. It has the capability of producing good quality tillage compared to other tillage operations.

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), the most abundant sex steroid, is primarily secreted by the adrenal gland and a precursor hormone used by athletes for performance enhancement. Whole-body vibration (WBV) is a well-known light-resistance exercise by automatic adaptations to rapid and repeated oscillations from a vibrating platform, which is also a simple and convenient exercise for older adults.

Vibration training and vibration therapy, also known as whole body vibration (WBV), biomechanical stimulation (BMS), and biomechanical oscillation (BMO) date back to ancient Greece. Recently, vibration training has been reinvented as a new form of exercise that is becoming more frequently used to improve muscle strength, power and flexibility as well as coordination. Increasingly, WBV can be encountered in different wellness, fitness and rehabilitation centres as well as medical centres.

can be done on a test rig out in the main works or sometimes even on the equipment while running normally. However, the basic idea is that pitch, profile and helix errors may combine with tooth bending, gear body distortions and whole gear body deflections to give an overall relative deflection (from smooth running) at the meshpoint between the gears. It is also difficult to convince gear engineers that there is a very big difference between roll (double flank) checking, which is extremely cheap and easy, and T.E. (single flank) checking since they give rather similar looking results.
