Performance evaluation of commercially available hydraulic energy nozzles (HCN/PB, HCN/PC, HCN/PD and HCN/PE) used in manually operated sprayer was conducted to identify the suitable nozzle for low velocity air-assisted sprayer. The discharge rate, droplet size, droplet size distribution pattern and spray distribution pattern of all the types of nozzles were measured with a pressure range of 0.1 to 0.4 MPa at an interval of 0.1 MPa. It was found that with the increase in pressure from 0.1 to 0.

The present investigation “Studies on the effect of biostimulants on growth and flowering of cut gladiolus (Gladiolus grandiflorus L.) Cv. Arkaamar” was carried out at the Floricultural Research Station, Rajendranagar of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University, Hyderabad during September 2017 to February, 2018. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design replicated thrice with eleven treatments. The results on vegetative parameters revealed that among different pre soaking and foliar sprays of bio stimulants at 30 and 45 days after corm sprouting.

A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of fertigation and foliar application of nutrients on yield and quality of french bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.).The experiment consisted of four main plots i.e., different levels of fertigation and three sub plots i.e., foliar spray of different nutrient solutions. The experiment was conducted in split plot design and it was replicated thrice.100 per cent RDF through fertigation and foliar application of 0.5 per cent vegetable special recorded maximum number of pods per clusters (7.87), more number of clusters per plant (6.

In modern agricultural systems, chemical-based weed control is becoming difficult to ignore (usage of herbicides) in weed management because of its effectiveness to accomplish weed control and at the same time, increases yield largely. However, both economic and ecological attention the application of herbicide should be optimum.

The experiment detail for the present investigation was comprised of 13 treatments in Randomized Block Design with three replication, to record morphological, phonological, yield attributes and economics. The growth regulators and micronutrient significantly improved the plant height of okra. The maximum plant height was recorded when sprayed NAA @ 20 ppm. The higher number of leaves and length of internodes were recorded at NAA @ 40 ppm. Higher numbers of branches, higher length of internodes were recorded in foliar spray of cycocel@1000ppm.
