Wind power generation evaluation

Reliability of Power System research has a long history. The topic includes three levels: the first relates to generation facilities, the second refers to the integration of generation and transmission, the third one refers to the complete system including distribution system. The first level is a basic step for the next level, still being interested, especially on researches on the renewable energy sources integration.

Since the East Vietnam Sea has an advantageous geographical location and rich natural resources, we can develop and manage islands and reefs in this region reasonably to declare national sovereignty. Based on 1096 scenes of QuikSCAT wind data of 2006–2009, wind power density at 10 m hight is calculated to evaluate wind energy resources of the East Vietnam Sea.

The surveying and evaluation of the quality of control method for wind power systems using Doubly-Fed Induction Generators (DFIG) is a highly important signification. A new designing methodology for the passivity-based nonlinear controller is applied to gain some results which are described in this paper as can be seen, to control the Doubly-Fed Induction Generators, to maintain grid retaining of system in syschronical fault case which lead to drop a part of grid voltage.

This becomes increasingly apparent as many countries begin to phase out traditional fossil fuels, while some re-evaluate their comfort level with nuclear power generation. The conversion of wind’s kinetic energy into another desired form dates back millennia. The years since have afforded some time for maturation of the technology.
