Xuyen Moc district

Binh Chau hot spring locates in Bung Rieng commune, Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, and is the second hottest hot spring in Vietnam. Up to date, the microbial diversity of this hot spring has been mainly evaluated using the culture-dependent methods, thus, it could not be able to assess all of microorganisms there.

Ceropegia vietnamensis is described as a new species from Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve in the Xuyen Moc district of Ba Ria- Vung Tau province. It is morphologically close to Ceropegia laotica in general appearance and coloration of flowers but differs in many vegetative and reproductive characteristics and grows in a different habitat.

Groundwater in Xuyen Moc district is used for many purposes like irrigation, domestic and animal husbandry. In recent years, groundwater quality in the area witnessed a downward trend, especially in dry season. In this study, 06 groundwater samples were collected from mornitoring wells from Pleistocen aquifer in wet and dry seasons during 2017.

This paper used the qualitative research, based on the analysis of multi-dimensional information from stakeholders to investigate the seed-corn production activity by the contracted farming at Phuoc Tan commune, Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria Vung Tau province. The results showed that Thailand CP Company supported the farmers by sponsoring the seeding cost, providing technical support in production and buying the products.
