  • The results of resreach showed that rice areas were not distributed relatively uniform in all districts and the rice yield had average level when compared with the other rice cultivation areas. Rice yields in Thai Nguyen province sharply increased from 4.87 tons/ha (2010) to 5.49 tons/ha (2020) with the slightly decreasing the rice areas, it is proved that the farmer was not concerned to increase the planting areas while they focused on rising the yield potential and quality.

  • The study was carried out to evaluate the efficacy of fungicides and bio-agents against the leaf and neck blast disease in paddy during Kharif season of 2013-14. Among the evaluated fungicides and bio-agents, Tricyclazole 75% WP was effectively manage the incidence of leaf and neck blast (16.3 and 21.22 %, respectively) and found most economical fungicide among all treatments with highest yield (35.61q/ha) and B: C ratio (1: 2.03), maximum reduction of leaf and neck blast (66.61 and 43.15 %, respectively) followed by Tebuconazole 25.

  • Brown spot caused by (Bipolaris oryzae) is a persistent disease of Paddy (Oryza sativa L.) and associated with reduction in economic yield in the areas under dry and semi dry climate, with the nutrient poor field. Part of the paddy area under cultivation is salt affected in India, having longer water stagnation capacity, though having deficiency of organic matter and other essential nutrient, where during monsoon season only paddy is grown.

  • Farmers’ participatory front line demonstrations on method of sowing paddy with D.S.R. machine and traditional method of transplanting as local check were conducted at ten location during kharif (2014 and 2015) under CCS, HAU, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Fatehabad, Haryana. The study reveals that on an average 52.07 q/ha yield of paddy (var. PUSA-1121) was recorded in demonstration plot as compare to 51.64 q/ha in local check which was 0.9 per cent higher over that of the local check. The data on economic parameters reveals that a net return of Rs.55033 per ha was in demonstration compare to Rs.
