Response of promising midlate maturing sugarcane varieties to different doses of nitrogen fertilizer
The effect of nitrogen levels on juice quality parameters was not significant. Among the sugarcane midlate varieties, 2012T58 and 2012T 182 responded well to the applied nitrogen and recorded higher cane yield.

An adequate boron amendment ensures not only ample fruit set, but guarantees optimum fruit yield with excellent quality in terms of juice content, ratio between total soluble solids and acidity, and fruit peel colour (Srivastava and Singh 2005). Very little information is available on effect of zinc and boron under agro-climatic conditions of Uttarakhand and no work so far has been done under tarai conditions with the cultivar Pant Prabhat. Ratooning in sugarcane is a common practice in sugarcane as it saves cost of planting material and preparatory tillage and also germinates faster than the seed material. Several chemicals have been used in enhancing the production and productivity. In this regard, the effectiveness of Cytozyme Products over yield and juice quality in sugarcane ratoon crop was assessed. Two ratoon crops were initiated in both the seasons, i.e., autumn and spring using an early ripening and high sugar variety, CoPk 05191, in different fields.

An experiment was carried out to see the effect of plant growth regulators on yield and quality of guava cv. Allahabad safeda. A technique was developed for the production of β-carotene rich dahi from milk and freshly extracted sweet potato juice by inoculating with starter culture at 2% and incubated for different periods of time to yield dahi of 4.0±1, 4.2±1 initial pH and stored at two different temperature 4oC and 30oC for 11 and 3 days. The experiment was conducted to study the effect of salinity levels (ECe value 0, 2.5 and 5.0 dSm-1 ) on sugarcane genotypes (CoP 9702, CoP 112, BO 154, BO 153 and CoP 9301) under NaCl induced salt stress condition in glasshouse at Sugarcane Research Institute, Pusa, Bihar. Studies on genetic divergence in sugarcane plant and ratoon crops involving sixteen genotypes planted at RAU Pusa Farm, Samastipur, Bihar during 2012-13 and their consecutive ratoon during 2013-14 under low land area with water-stagnation 2 to 3 months to select profitable genotypes tolerant to water logging. An experiment was conducted during kharif 2017-18 to generate information on yield and yield contributing traits in elite genotypes of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.). Khasi Mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco.) is one of the most widely cultivated and important commercial fruit crop of North East India. A survey was conducted in Mandarin orchards from three district of Manipur viz., Tamenglong, Bishnupur and Noney during 2018 to study the present status of Khasi Mandarin in Manipur with growth, yield and quality parameters. The Mandarin fruits were evaluated morphologically and biochemically for different parameters. It was observed that all the three district of Manipur was found to have Khasi Mandarin in the orchards but it was gradually declined.
