PCA revealed overall acceptability, taste and colour as the top three sensory components contributing to variation in the gari samples. Root size negatively correlated with dry matter, starch content and gari yield. It was concluded that the various cassava varieties exhibited some distinct morpholgical and chemical characteristics which influenced their potentials for gari production.

Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench, commonly known as ‘ladies finger’ or ‘bhindi’ is an economically important common vegetable crop cultivated throughout the tropical and warm temperate regions of the world. Induced mutation is highly effective in enhancing natural genetic resources and has been used in developing improved cultivars. The effect of gamma irradiation on various morphological and yield attributing characters in M2 generation were studied.

Coriander is an annual herbaceous spice plant, a family member of Umbelliferae. In India it is grown in 4,47,000 ha area with annual production of 3,14,000 MT during 2013-14 (Anonymous, 2015). This data is shortening as compared to previous statistics with respect to production, this is because of current knowledge about its characteristic association and their effects is incomplete. To fulfill these gaps, an investigation was conducted during the 2014-15 at research farm in Hisar. Data for 11 quality traits were measured and statistically analysed.

A Structural Equation Model has been used to investigate the multidirectional causal relationship among agricultural characteristics such as nitrogen content in the soil (kg/ha), Rice yield (kg/ha), nitrogen uptake by rice (kg/ha) and organic carbon (kg/ha). There using time series data of experimental project on Raipur district of Chhattisgarh from 1993 to 2017, this paper investigates the separate but simultaneous impact of different character on yield.

Pleurotus mushroom, generally referred to as ‘Oyster mushroom or Dhingri’ in India is relatively new to the mushroom industry. In India, Odisha is a leading state in terms of oyster mushroom production. The condition in most of agro-climatic situation in Odisha are suitable for growing oyster mushroom from month of July to February comprising of the rainy and winter season. Pleurotus pulmonarius is a potential protein source especially in developing countries, besides having minerals and vitamins. Besides its edibility it has also got pharmaceutical properties.

An experiment was conducted during 2015 and 2016 to study the effect of growing media and plant spacing on growth and yield of capsicum cv. Orobelle in the mid hills of Himalayas. The media consisting of Soil + Cocopeat + Vermicompost + FYM (2:1:0.5:0.5) proved to be statistically superior over rest of the growing media for almost all the aspects under investigation. All the attributes were better or at par when the plants were spaced at the wider plant spacing (45 x 60 cm).

Plants are constantly exposed to biotic stresses, which cause changes in plant metabolism including physiological damages, leading to crop productivity losses. This study was conducted to investigate bio-fertilizer applications (i.e., phosphorein, microbein, and combination of them at a ratio of 1:1 for seed before sowing) influences on two varieties (i.e., Giza 429 and Giza 40) of Vicia faba (L.) plant performances on borne diseasesinfected soil. Growth, yield and its quality, physio-biochemical attributes, nutrient contents and disease assessment were investigated.
