Hundred maintainer lines of hybrid rice were studied for correlation and path analysis at Indian Institute of Rice Research, Hyderabad. Grain yield per plant had significant positive correlation with productivity per day (0.95). Other traits, namely days to fifty percent flowering, number of productive tillers per plant, panicle length, panicle weight, number of grains per panicle has positive non-significant correlation with yield.

The present study comprised of three male sterile CMS lines, three maintainer lines and ten male fertile males (testers/ restorers) with three standard checks in two sets i.e. CMS and conventional thus making 60 F1s (30 CMS and 30 conventional) using Line x Tester mating design. The crosses, CAK 53A x AKH- 07R, CAK 23B x AKH-07R, CAK 23B x DHy286-1R, CAK 23B x R-2000-23 and SRT-1A x R-2000-26 were found better for seed cotton yield per plant and hold promise for further evaluation and commercial exploitation of heterosis both in CMS and conventional system for high yield.

The effect of cytoplasm on hybrid mean performance for seed yield and its contributing traits was investigated by evaluating 50 hybrids (25 A×R and their corresponding 25 B×R hybrids) and 10 parents (five CMS A lines and corresponding maintainer lines) along with standard check hybrid DRSH-1. These isonuclear alloplasmic hybrids were observed for quantitative traits viz., days to 50 per cent flowering, head diameter, stem diameter, plant height, 100 seed weight, volume weight, days to maturity, hull content, seed yield plant1 and oil content.

The goal of this research was to evaluate citron (Citrus medica) accessions for their vegetative and yield contributing characters for increasing productivity through superior accessions maintained at Citrus Research Station, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Jaintapur, Sylhet, Bangladesh. The experimental plot had sandy loam textured soil. Nine citron germplasm collection from farmer’s field of different locations of Sylhet region of Bangladesh and were used as the planting material.
