Lentil is a self-pollinated annual diploid (2n = 2× = 14) crop with a restricted history of genetic improvement through breeding, particularly when compared to cereal crops. This limited breeding has probably contributed to the narrow genetic base of local cultivars, and a corresponding potential to continue yield increases and stability.

Limited genetic resource in the cultivated rice may hinder further yield improvement. Some valuable genes that contribute to rice yield may be lost or lacked in the cultivated rice. Identification of the quantitative trait locus (QTL) for yield-related traits such as thousand-grain weight (TGW) from wild rice speices is desired for rice yield improvement.

Cultivation of green onion has been developed widely in Tran De district, Soc Trang province, contributing to upgrade household income, however salt invasion has caused a decline in green onion production. The study aimed to determine the efficiency of salt tolerance bio-product NPISi (NPISi) on soil characteristics, growth and yield of green onion when grown on salt-affected soil in Tran De district, Soc Trang province.

PCA revealed overall acceptability, taste and colour as the top three sensory components contributing to variation in the gari samples. Root size negatively correlated with dry matter, starch content and gari yield. It was concluded that the various cassava varieties exhibited some distinct morpholgical and chemical characteristics which influenced their potentials for gari production.

Many benzimidazole salts bearing a 3-phenylpropyl substituent (1a–1h) were synthesized and their structures were identified by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and IR spectroscopic methods and elemental analysis. These N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursors were used as a part of a catalytic system including Pd(OAc) 2 and the base in the Suzuki– Miyaura cross-coupling reaction under microwave irradiation. They were also used as catalysts in the cyclotrimerization of phenyl isocyanate to yield 1,3,5-triphenyl-1,3,5-triazinane-2,4,6-trione.

An investigation was taken up to study the magnitude of heterosis for nine characters in rice viz., days to 50 percent flowering, days to maturity, plant height at maturity, productive tillers per plant, tillers per square meter, thousand grain weight, grains per panicle, and yield per plant. The base material for this experiment consisted of 36 F1s involving three cytoplasmic male sterile lines (CMS) and twelve diverse restorers in line x tester mating design along with best varietal check Phule Samruddhi and best hybrid check Sahyadri-4.

Fine mapping of the BnUC2 locus related to leaf up-curling and plant semi-dwarfing in Brassica napus
Studies of leaf shape development and plant stature have made important contributions to the fields of plant breeding and developmental biology. The optimization of leaf morphology and plant height to improve lodging resistance and photosynthetic efficiency, increase planting density and yield, and facilitate mechanized harvesting is a desirable goal in Brassica napus.

Identification of consistent QTL for time to maturation in Virginia-type Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.
Time-to-maturation (TTM) is an important trait contributing to adaptability, yield and quality in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L). Virginia market-type peanut belongs to the late-maturing A. hypogaea subspecies with considerable variation in TTM within this market type.

Sclerotinia stem rot (SSR), caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary, is an important cause of yield loss in soybean. Although many papers have reported different loci contributing to partial resistance, few of these were proved to reproduce the same phenotypic impact in different populations.

Correlation studies would provide estimates of degree of association between grain yield and its various components and also among the components. While, path co-efficient analysis further elucidates the intrinsic nature of association of component traits by determining direct or indirect contribution of these traits to yield (Baldaniya et al, 2018).

This study examines the semantic contribution of English suffixes and prefixes in the translation process by categorizing and analyzing various English affixes in the source texts and proposing their Vietnamese equivalent for the target texts. The results reveal that implementing an affixal analysis in the translation process (1) enhances the translation quality, (2) accelerates the translation process, and (3) conveys patterns of meaning associated with affixal stress and intonation.

An experiment was conducted with 9 colocasia [Colocasia esculenta var. antiquorom Schott.] genotypes to evaluate the estimate of genetic variability for different characters. The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. The genetic parameters between yield and yield contributing characters of different colocasia genotypes were studied. Analysis of variance showed significant variation among the genotypes for all tested characters.
