Field experiment was conducted to find out the influence of foliar nutrition on growth and seed yield of pulse crop during rabi 2013-14. The experiment was laid out in split plot design and replicated thrice. The pulse crop viz., blackgram, greengram, cowpea and horse gram were tried as treatments under main plot. Foliar nutrient sprays viz., 2 % DAP, 1 % KCL, 1% boron, 1 % MgSO4, 1 % ZnSO4 and without foliar spray were fitted under sub plot. Foliar spray treatment with the aqueous solution of nutrients was done on 30 and 45 DAS of pulse crop.

This study also showed that Seed Hardening with neem leaves extracts, Tulsi leaf extract, CaCl2 and distilled water were found to increase the seedling character, growth and yield. A field investigation was conducted during 2004-2005 at Karanja Ramzanpur, village in Purna valley in Vidarbha region. The experimental was laid out in Randomized Block Design, consisting of seven treatments i.e. 100 % RD of NPK, 50 % RD of NPK, PSB 10 kg ha-1 , crop residue @ 2 t ha-1 and alkali water irrigation passed through gypsum bed (30 cm thickness). The initial pHs, ECe, SAR and ESP representative soil varied from 8.51 to 8.40, 1.06 to 1.18, 15.17 to 9.22, 18.36 to 12.19 respectively.

A field experiment was conducted during summer season of 2016 at Sardarkrushinagar located in the north-Gujarat agro-climatic region. The experiment was laid out in factorial randomized block design with replicated thrice. Greengram was sown at distance of 30 cm × 10 cm with seed priming recorded significantly higher growth attributes viz. plant height, seed yield (1035 kg/ha), stover yield (2334 kg/ha), net monetary returns (Rs. 17672/ha) and B: C ratio (1.76).

Disease score was recorded at maturity stage by counting number of infected plants in each line and the per cent disease incidence was calculated. The disease intensity was scored adopting the following 1-9 score (Singh et.al., 1988) (Table-1). On maturity 100 random plants of each entry selected and harvested separately from which the average plant yield of each entry calculated.

Seven lines, four testers and twenty eight F1 crosses derived through line x tester mating were evaluated to study the magnitude of heterosis for yield, water use efficiency and its attributing traits in order to assess the worth of a cross. The study on extent of heterosis revealed that sixteen hybrids out of twenty eight hybrids recorded high status with maximum score.

A field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2019 on sandy loam soils of dryland farm of S.V. Agricultural College, Tirupati campus of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. The results of the experiment revealed that among the different intercropping systems, little millet + greengram (4:2) (T6) recorded significantly higher plant height, leaf area index, dry matter production followed by little millet + cowpea (4:2) (T7). Lower values of these growth parameters were recorded with little millet + cluster bean (4:2) (T8).

Greengram (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) is legume crop cultivating throughout the year, which is amicable for all kinds of environment. The MYMV incidence and low harvest index leading to low yield. Genetic variability parameters were studied in 100 greengram genotypes raised during kharif 2013 in randomised block design with two replications. Observations were made for eighteen biometrical traits.
