The seed spices constitute an important group of agricultural commodities, playing an important role in our national economy. During 2012-13 share of seed spices in India‟s spice area and production is 7.02% and 11.82% respectively. This study was conducted during the year 2016-17. A total of 28 farmers from different categories were selected purposively from Pana (Bayana) villages of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan for conducting Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs) on their field on fennel crop.

The present investigation was carried out to study the uptake of micronutrients in soybean growing soils of Dharwad taluk during 2015-16 kharif season. For this purpose 51 representative soybean growing soils of Dharwad taluk were selected. Based on the average grain yields in 51 fields, the entire group was divided into below average and above average yield categories.

In the study area, adoption of hybrid rice was started in 2005 and maximum adoption was in 2012. Majority (80%) of the farmers growhybrid-6444 variety of hybrid rice in their first year, with an average yield of 61.37 q/ha. There are many comparative benefits of hybrid rice reported by the farmers but along with it many constraints were also faced by the farmers in its cultivation. The time variable allows us to classify the respondents into adopter categories. Both curves of the adoption of hybrid rice over time by the farmers and s-shaped curve on cumulative basis were plotted.

A survey was conducted during 2017-18 to study the leaf nutrient norms using Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System (DRIS) for Byadgi chilli crop in three district of north Karnataka. A total of 175 locations were selected and index chilli leaf samples were collected at peak flowering stage. These samples were analysed for nutrients to establish the data bank. The whole population of study area was divided into low and high yielding categories taking chilli yield of 8.50 q/ha as cut off level.

In cocoa, four yielding categories viz., [‘Low’ ( 3.0 kg)] were evaluated for standardization of seedling selection criteria at nursery stage. The results showed that the highest germination percentage, seedling height, girth, number of leaves, leaf area and seedling vigour were registered in high and very high yielding categories compared to other yielding categories.

Buffaloes contribute a chunk to the total milk production in the Punjab state and have many advantages over cow milk and hence it is also known as black gold. The present study has been conducted in seven districts across three agro-climatic zones of the Punjab state to study the comparative economics of buffaloes and cow.

All the 10 treatments imposed improved yield and 1000-grain weight to a greater extent as compared to control. The fungicide seed treatment with vitavax power+Tilt (propiconazole) two spray performed best followed by folicur (tebuconazol) and Taspa (propiconazole 13.9%+ difenconazole13.9%). However, in different categories, seed treatment with vitavax power and flusilazole 40EC were the succeeding treatments effective against spot blotch of wheat.

Micronutrient malnutrition resulting from the dietary deficiency of important minerals such as Iron (Fe), Zinc (Zn), Copper (Cu) and Manganese (Mn) in the staple food crops like pearl millet leads to ubiquitous food-related health problems. In context to this present investigation was undertaken to study the phenotypic diversity among 48 maintainer (B) and restorer lines (R) of pearl millet genotypes for grain micronutrients concentration, yield and agro-morphological traits using multivariate approach.

The study was conducted during 2018-19 in Mandya district of Karnataka State, India. The pre-tested interview schedule was used to collect the data from 120 Seasamum growers through personal interview method. The collected data was tabulated and analyzed using percentages, correlation and regression. As high as 44.17 per cent of Seasamum growers belonged to medium level adoption category, 35.00 per cent to low adoption category and 20.83 per cent belonged to high adoption category.

Rice is the staple food of Odisha in terms of area, production and yield. System of Rice Intensification (SRI) involves adoption of changes in management practices of rice cultivation creating a favourable condition for crop growth with less utilization of inputs. Despite the benefits, SRI has not adopted by the farmers as expected in the state. This paper attempted to analyse the perception of Odisha farmers regarding major constraints hindering widespread of SRI by different categories of farmers (i.e. adopters, dropouts and non-adopters) in the state and the positive impact of SRI.

A detailed soil survey was undertaken in central state farm Jetsar, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, India representing the arid climate with the aim of to assess the status and potential of land resources for the suitability and production potential of soils for chickpea. The area of the farm has been divided into three major landforms viz., sand dunes, reclaimed sand dunes and aeofluvial flood plain. Based on the variation in physiography and landforms, eight soil pedons were identified in the farm.

It is cultivated under wide range of soils and climatic conditions. It is grown in black soils as well as heavy clay loam soils. In East Godavari district total rice production area is 4.23/ha. The major varieties grown in Ramchandrapuram mandal are MTU-1010, PLU-1100. More than 70% of the Indian farming community own less than one hectare of land. They belong to the category of small and marginal farmers.

Seedling vigour, expressed in terms of shoot and root length, number of leaves, leaf area and dry matter yield, was significantly affected by seed mass. Seedlings that emerged from heavy seeds showed better growth and produced heavier seedlings as compared to intermediate- and light-weight seed categories.

Recent work has seen the emergence of a common framework for parsing categorial grammar (CG) formalisms that fall within the 'type-logical' tradition (such as the Lambek calculus and related systems), whereby some method of linear logic theorem proving is used in combination with a system of labelling that ensures only deductions appropriate to the relevant grammatical logic are allowed. The approaches realising this framework, however, have not so far addressed the task of incremental parsing - - a key issue in earlier work with 'flexible' categorial grammars.

Linguistic theories typically assign various linguistic phenomena to one of the categories, syntactic, semantic, or pragmatic, as if the phenomena in each category were relatively independent of those in the others. However, various phenomena in discourse do not seem to yield comfortably to any account that is strictly a syntactic or semantic or pragmatic one. This paper focuses on particular phenomena of this s o r t - t h e use of various referring expressions such as definite noun phrases and pronouns-and examines their interaction with mechanisms used to maintain discourse coherence. ...

We provide a logical definition of Minimalist grammars, that are Stabler’s formalization of Chomsky’s minimalist program. Our logical definition leads to a neat relation to categorial grammar, (yielding a treatment of Montague semantics), a parsing-asdeduction in a resource sensitive logic, and a learning algorithm from structured data (based on a typing-algorithm and type-unification). Here we emphasize the connection to Montague semantics which can be viewed as a formal computation of the logical form. ...
