In India, oilseed Brassica are grown over an area of about 6.3 million hectares with an annual production of 7.92 million tones with an average yield of 1304 kg/ha whereas in Rajasthan it was still 1422kg/ha. The severe attack of many diseases not only deteriorates the quality of the seed, but also reduces the oil content considerably. Among the diseases, white rust caused by Albugo candida (Pers. Ex Hook) O. Kuntze, is an important disease of a wide variety of Brassica crops. Its infection causes disfiguring white pustules on leaves, flowers stems and pod leading to yield losses.

Mustard crop is mainly grown in the marginal/poor soils mainly under rainfed conditions with marginal inputs. A field investigation was carried out at Regional Agriculture Testing and Demonstration Station Bilwa, Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. The influence of fertilization on yield and quality on growth, yield and seed quality of mustard (Brassica juncea L.) cultivar Kranti was studied.

Rapeseed is grown in irrigated and non-irrigated condition as a rain fed crop. Production of rapeseed is also limited owing to non adoption of recommended agronomic which reduce the yield to a greater extent. The present study was carried out in 23 villages of Banda district of Bundelkhand, Uttar Pradesh, to know the impact and yield gaps between improved package of practices (IP) under Front Line Demonstration (FLD) and existing farmer’s practice (FP) of mustard crops.

Mustard (Brassica spp.), family cruciferae are the major oilseed crop grow throughout India for edible oil. It is an open pollinated crop and honeybees are effective pollinators for open pollinated crops because of a lot of nectar and pollens are available on the flowers of mustard. The studies were conducted during rabi 2013-14 and 2014-15 at ARS, Kota to enhance the yield of mustard through honey bee pollinator. Mustard variety “Bio-902” was grown following all recommended agronomic practices without spraying through the crop season.

A field experiment was carried out using two varieties of pea (Rachna and local cultivar Makhyatmubi) and one Indian mustard (NRCHB 101)intercropping systems to determine the competition among these and economics of each intercropping system. The intercropping systems were assessed on the basis of existing competition and economic indices such as land equivalent ratio (LER), relative crowding coefficient, aggressivity, competitive ratio (CR), relative crowding coefficient (RCC) and monetary advantage index (MAI).

The present research was carried out to determine the selection criteria for yield improvement in selected genotypes of Indian mustard. Thirty genotypes were sown at MGCGV farm Chitrakoot to evaluate the mean and component of variability, correlation and path analysis for yield and various yield components. The correlation coefficient of the seed yield per plant (g.) had significant and positive correlation with plant height; number of primary branch, total no. of siliqua per plant and 1000-seed weight at genotypic level.

This experiment was carried out at farmer’s field to evaluate the performance of different agricultural crops under eucalypts plantation (establishment of plantation on September, 2014) at a spacing of 3.9 × 1.5 m during Rabi season 2014-15 and 2015-16, respectively. After 2 years of plantation, yield of agricultural crops (mustard, wheat, berseem and oat) were reduced significantly under eucalypts plantation in comparison to sole crop (devoid of tree). Among all the agricultural crops, the maximum yield was recorded in berseem (6.12 and 4.94 t/ha) which was closely followed by oat (5.

India is the fourth largest oilseed producer in the world. Among the edible oilseed crops cultivated in India, mustard occupying the second position after groundnut sharing 27.5 per cent in Indian economy. It is also one of the important oilseed crops of Madhya Pradesh and is commonly grown in Sidhi district which falls in Kymore Plateau and Satpura Hills zone of the state. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sidhi conducted 64 technological frontline demonstrations to know the yield gap between improved package of practices (IP) and farmers practices (FP) under limited irrigation conditions.
