It’s like the formula to make cars, the formula to make light bulbs, the formula to construct houses . . . You can always tweak or change the details but the ‘core’ formula remains the same. Did you know that the airline industry has been using the same “tube and wing” design to construct airplanes for over 100 years? Why? “Tube and Wing” is a proven formula, the rest are just tweaks and changes (Type of aircraft engine, color of aircraft, number of seats etc). The 4M Formula, as you will see, is the ‘Tube and Wing’ design for marketing a website. If you apply it to any current website or use it to start a brand new one, you will make it a success. That’s what a formula is and that’s exactly what the 4M Formula does . . . For a formula to work, all ingredients should be in place and ready to work in harmony together. If one part doesn’t work or is not properly used, the desired result (A successful online business in this case) will not be achieved. Click HERE to and read this article. This will help you identify which ‘ingredient’ you need to focus on or are missing to make your website a success. Regardless, no matter what stage you are on, I encourage you to read the 4M Formula in it’s entirety, so you can truly understand the 4 components required for a successful website online”. Page 2

- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Introduction to the 4M Formula Hello Friend, My name is JB. In a nutshell, I am just an average guy who is really good when it comes to creating websites that get top 10 rankings in search engines and turn leads into real repeat customers. I’ve been doing it for 10 years and professionally for about 7 years. Below are some of the major companies that I've helped recently either by creating a website from scratch and marketing it or helping them maintain their top first page rankings (In super competitive markets) in the search engines. Chi Club Dubai (Currently working here. Biggest nightclub in Dubai) Cymax Stores (Top 200 internet retailer. Over $50 Million in annual revenue) Vancouver Cigar (Vancouver, Canada’s biggest Cuban cigar retailer). Eminata Group (Owner of one of the biggest network of private colleges in North America. It’s another multi-million dollar organization that I worked for). In this eBook, my goal is to help you discover that with all the websites and online work that I’ve done f or myself and others, I’ve come to understand that there truly is a formula and once understood and properly applied, it can be replicated to continuously and naturally grow any business online. I like to call this the “4M Formula”. Step 1: Market Research + Step 2: Market Solution + Step 3: Market Location + Step 4: Market Relation = A solid consistent business that will produce favorable results, over and over again. Page 5
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Step 1: Market Research "Find people looking for products & services, in another words, find a market” If you are looking for a product to sell online first, you’ve already failed. You just joined the 99.9 percent of people who don’t make it and eventually quit. Have you heard of the phrase “Go where the market is”? It basically means go where people are a lready looking for a certain product or a solution to their problem. I’m sure you hear this a lot online that “Find a market”, “Find a niche marke t” bla bla but to the average person like you and I, what does it really mean to find a market? Let me give you an example (As this concept took me a few years to understand and even more importantly, accept). Imagine if I have a product called the world ’s fastest snowmobile. You come up to me and you are like I’m interested in distributing it or selling it. I’m like sure and I tell you that your cost is only $1.00. You go nuts and you are like “Oh my god I’m going to be rich” and start approaching people everywhere. This is actually where the problem starts. The reality is not everyone cares about a snowmobile. To be more specific, not everyone cares about what you are selling. Even, if it’s only for a $1.00. Think about it . . . If you get a snowmobile for a $1.00 would you keep it or would you start thinking “Oh man, I don’t have space for this crap in my house ” or if you are in my situation, I would be like “Oh dude, I wish I was back in Vancouver, where I could probably use it. Not in the desert like in Dubai”. Another example is how many times have you walked down the street or possibly in Downtown and you see people hand out flyers. How many times, have you just walked away from that person politely smiling (Or maybe the opposite lol). The point I’m trying to make is people only get what they WANT or NEED. If they don’t WANT or NEED it, no matter how good the offer is it doesn’t matter. Page 6
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Okay, let’s take this snowmobile example a little further because I know what you are thinking . . . ‘Come on dude, anyone can sell a snowmobile if it’s costing them $1.00 only. Heck I’ll put it on eBay’. Well let’s put this $1.00 snowmobile on eBay. As soon as you get on eBay, you will be more shocked because you see people selling the same snowmobile for even less than $1.00 lol. How is this possible? It just happens that the person selling that snowmobile to you for $1.00 has already hundreds of re-sellers working for him. So forget about selling pre-build marketplaces like eBay, Amazon etc. Thing is these re-sellers got in early and TOOK OVER the market of Snowmobiles. Let’s say you might get lucky and sell one or two but can you survive or live the life of your dreams on that? Nope. So for the next few years, you keep going to different places to where people are selling the exact same snowmobiles and try to sell a snowmobile here and there. You get caught up in this vicious delusional cycle of making tons of money by ‘chasing’ money. You start to putter around from here and there and hardly make any sales. One day you wake up and you are like “Wow, almost 10 years of my life has passed and I’m still struggling like a monkey to own a real business”. Sounds familiar? When starting any business, it doesn’t matter what the product is, what matter s is if it’s offering any real value. Is the product solving any problem? That however is still secondary. The first and foremost step is to clearly identify that if anyone cares about that so called ‘valuable’ and if it will actually solve anyone’s (The Market) problem. Problems or obstacles create the ‘need’ for products. This in return creates a ‘market’ for these products or services. A market is basically a group of people looking for a solution to their problem or obstacles that they might run into in their daily lives. Page 7
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Solve this ‘market’s problem and you got yourself a business So the idea is to find a ‘market’ that needs a solution. Make sense? As kids, most of us are programmed to believe the following: Hot Products = Sales The reality is. Hungry Market Looking for a Problem Solving Product + Problem Solving Quality Product = Sales. No wonder so many people fail in starting an online business let alone a business in general. To find a market on the internet, you need to see and study what they are typing in Google and other search engines. These words or phrases typed on Google or any search engines are called ‘Keywords’ To help you understand, let’s say we found a market in selling h orse saddles’ using the Google Adword Keyword Tool Page 8
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com A definition of a good market is thousands or more people looking for a solution every month and has little competing websites in the market. This is the general idea. By the way, throughout this eBook, we are going to work with an imaginary market of ‘Horse Saddles’, just so I can help you understand the 4M Formula. To learn more about finding a market online and proper keyword research, check out these free resources below. Online Market Research Definition [eBook] Vegetarian Dog Food Keyword Research Case Study Once you understand the concept of finding a niche, I recommend you get a software called ‘Niche Finder’ by Brad Callen. Page 9
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Step 2: Market Solution "Use these 6 main ways and give the market what it wants". Now that you’ve f ound a market that has low online competition and has thousands of people looking for it e very single month , it’s time to move on to step two and that is the monetization process (Making money). How do you start the monetization process? By deciding what kind of product sourcing method will work best. P roduct sourcing means t he way of delivering the product o r service to your customer. Now that you know what they want (Horse Saddles), it’s only a matter of giving it to them. Here are your options: 2a. Dropshipping 2b. Affiliate Marketing 2c. Advertising 2d. Wholesaling 2e. Create your ow n product 2f. eBook / Information Let’s look at each in a little bit of more detail: TIP: Remember, you don’t have to stick to just one method. You can use a combination of these methods as well. Page 10
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com 2a. Dropshipping What is a “dropshipper” or “dropshipping” all about? A dropshipper is a wholesaler that “dropships”. Basically, you simply visit a wholesale dropshipper’s site, ‘copy and paste’ the product image on your website or put it up on ebay, make the sale at whatever price you choose, than simply pay your wholesale cost to the wholesaler. You make your profit and the wholesaler ships (or “dropships” as it’s called) the ‘sold’ item for you. You never hold any inventory. You never pre-purchase the product Heck you don’t even touch it. It’s all done online. Page 11
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Below is a more detailed example of what dropshipping is. So basically, you visit a dropshipper’s website. You browse the site and find the product ‘As Seen On TV’ 300 Piece Titanium Drill set. The price on it shows $6.47. (W hich is your purchase price) and you also see the retail value @ $49.95. You put the product up at an auction for let’s say . . . $45.00. You find a buyer and he / she sends you a payment of $45.00 You go back to the dropshipper’s website, PAY for the ‘As Seen On TV’ 300 Piece Titanium Drill set’ at $6.(W holesale cost to you) and keep the profit. The dropshipper than ships (or ‘dropships’ as it’s called) the product f or you DIRECTLY to your customer. The shipped product has your company name on it so it looks like it came from you. Page 12
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Just by making a few clicks with your mouse, you made a gross profit of $38.53. Once again, you never hold any inventory. You only pay if you made a sale. You set your profit margin. People think dropshipping doesn’t make money anymore well the last company I had the pleasure of working for (Cymax Stores, as you read in my little introduction) is a top 200 retailer in the world and grosses well over $54 Million (Yes million!) annually. You can verify this yourself by clicking here or here (Here they use a word called “fulfillment”, just a more professional way of saying dropshipping). How to find a wholesaler that offers dropshipping services? If you would like to use dropshipping as your product sourcing method, than I recommend the following: Doba : Certified by eB ay and and Inc 500 company, Doba connects you with hundreds or thousands of companies willing to dropship products for you without needing a business license or reseller’s license and what not. Doba basically is the “software” that streamlines everything for you such as images, product description and after you make the sale, you just log into Doba again, select thepro the Doba software informs that particular wholesaler to ship it for you. It is all based online (Web based) so you don’t have to download anything. Just log in and start browsing through their inventory, select the product you want to dropship and go from there. It’s not a directory of dropshippers like Worldwide Brands. They take things a bit further than World Wide Brands. They get the wholesaler to give them their product inventory information and Doba ads it to their database so you literally just copy and paste the p roduct image on your website in an extremely streamlined process. You don’t need a Tax ID or a Reseller License either but I suggest you get as it’s not that hard or expensive and will open immense amounts of doors for you. Doba is a great way to get started into dropshipping. Page 13
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com W orld Wide Brands Certified by eBay, offers a wholesale directory that gives you basic contact information on real wholesalers and companies that dropship. You have to contact them and call them and things like tha t and establish relationships yourself. Unlike Doba, W orld Wide Brands is a dropshipper directory with contact information of other wholesalers. Also it’s the only dropshipper directory that is certified by eBay. I’ve heard some good things about them too. SaleHoo: Fairly popular and proven resource. I personally haven’t tried this one but heard good things about it. One thing I can tell you that besides these three, don`t even bother. *99% of dropshippers out there are middleman sites or scam sites. If you are serious about your financial future, take action and sign up with any of the above resources only. Can you find dropshippers on your own? Ofcourse. However, you will save yourself a lot of time by simply contacting the experts above (It’s their full time job to find dropshippers) and go from there. My job is to help you with all this knowledge and wherever it’s worth it to take action by paying for a service, I will not hesitate to let you know about that. To find dropshippers on your own, watch my video below. Who knows, you just might come across an awesome dropshipper without investing in any of these re sources above. Page 14
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Here is another simple idea by the way . . . . After your market research proves that there is a market for something, simply contact the companies above by email and ask them if they can help you find a dropshipper for that particular product. Maybe W orld Wide Brands and Doba can help you find that product. Email them, call them and verify it before you make any payments. If they do have the product you are looking for, pay them for their service and keep moving forward. So how does dropshipping apply to our “Horse Saddle” example? We can find a wholesale dropshipper f or Horse Saddle that can ‘drop ship’ horse saddles for us. A simple search brought the following site and yes they dropship Horse Saddles http://www.equestrianproductsllc.com/ Page 15
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com 2b. Affiliate Marketing Page 16
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Affiliate marketing works in a sense that instead of you setting the retail price (Like with dropshipping), you simply guide your customer to click on a link. The visitor clicks the link and is shown a website that is holding the product. Once the purchase is completed, you get a set commission on it. The purchase is usually completed on a website other than your own. The user doesn’t checkout on your site, they checkout on a website that is selling the product or the service t hat you are promoting. If the sale is completed (Visitor goes through the checkout process), you get a commission for it. Just like in dropshipping, you don’t hold any ph ysical inventory in affiliate marketing. Page 17
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Depending on the company, you usually get paid every two weeks or every month. Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money (Very popular) and if you are looking to add backend products (Additional relevant products) to what you are currently selling, this is a great way to go. Affiliate Marketing Resources www.associateprograms.com/ One of my favorite resource on affiliate marketing of all time. I heard about Allan Gardyne when I use to work at IMC (Internet Marketing Center) in Vancouver. His website is a great resource for beginners, advanced and expert online marketers worldwide. Good stuff here for all interested in starting an online business and going beyond. www.cj.com If you are looking for a company that offers an affiliate program, you will find that they are most likely managed by these guys. They have been in the game for way too long and manage one of the biggest affiliate programs (eBay and other major companies) in the world. 2c. Advertising. Page 18
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Another proven way of monetizing your website without worrying about any physical inventory or selling is by strategically placing advertising on your website (Also known as Paid Ads). The idea is basically to rent out a little space on your we bsite to an advertiser. Check out the following resource: 40 Best Paid Ad Networks & Services I would like to talk about Google Adsense in particula r because I’ve been using it for years and have become somewhat of an expert on it. Google AdSense is one of the best forms ‘Paid Ads’ for monetizing your site. You get paid each time a unique visitor clicks (Pa y per click) on your Google Ads that are displayed. A very different model than the usual but this has become quite popular. Google AdSense is the world's largest pay per click network. There are others but frankly they are just not as big. However, it also depends on your product as well and sometimes Google AdSense just doesn’t perform. I have a website on home wine making for example and Google AdSense is horrible for that niche. Always keep your visitors in mind and see what will be the best and most interesting offer for them. Here are just some of the fairly popular sites out there and the people behind them who are earning substantial amounts of money by monetizing there traffic with Google AdSense. Page 19
- By JB. www.thewebsitespecialist.com Markus Frind the founder of PlentyOfFish.com (one of the biggest free dating sites) – $300,000 per month (It’s probably a lot more by now). He’s actually from Vancouver too Kevin Rose the founder of Digg.com (Popular social voting site) – $250,000 per month (It’s probably a lot more by now). Jeremy Schoemaker founder of the Shoe Money brand – $140,000 per month with AdSense (Yes, it’s probably a lot more by now).. These are just a few of the popular names out there (Trust me, there are a lot more big names), but can you imagine the 1000s of people who are consistently making 4 figures or more month after month? So how can you apply Google AdSense to your site? Let's use the example of 'Horse Saddles '. Instead of creating a site that directly sells Horse Saddles, you can create a site that maybe reviews companies that sells or Page 20
