Analysis of factors affecting CO2 emissions in the context of green economic development in Vietnam

The VECM model estimation results show that in the short term, all three factors, namely GDP per capita, foreign direct investment, and trade openness, have an impact on reducing CO2 emissions in Vietnam. Mean while, the results of the Johansen cointegration analysis show that GDP per capita and foreign direct investment have a negative impact on reducing CO2 emissions in the long run.
