Characterization of Rhizobium sp. isolated from bean

Thirty nodule isolates from bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) grown in Eskiflehir were studied for their physiological and biochemical characteristics. Most isolates produced abundant extracellular polysaccharides, tolerated high salt concentration (5% NaCl), grew at a temperature of 42 °C, and synthesized melanin.
