Phenotypic and genotypic diversity of rhizobia isolated from root and soil rhizosphere of summer mungbean was assessed on the basis of plant growth promoting traits and using RAPD primers. In present studies, isolates of rhizobia from nodules were purified on Congo red Yeast Mannitol Agar (CRYEMA) medium from summer mungbean growing areas of Punjab state, India.

The present investigation focused the pre-emergent impact of three concentrations (100, 200 and 300 ppm/kg soil) of technical grade of monocrotophos on Vigna mungo plants. The assessment of Monocrotophos stressed Vigna mungo plants inoculated with Rhizobium sp. plant growth suppression was analyzed normally and the Rhizobium treated plant growth and development of Vigna mungo was observed. The plant height, root height, total height, no. of leaf, no. of hairy roots, leaf length, lead width, shoot grifth, number.

The field experiment was conducted during kharif season, 2017 at Seed Farm, College of Agriculture, Vijayapura,Karnataka. The experiment comprised of nine biopriming treatments and control. The results revealed that the higher seed yield (790 kg ha-1 ), gross returns (Rs. 39,475 ha-1 ), net returns (Rs. 24,046 ha-1 ) and B:C ratio (2.56) were recorded in the Rhizobium leguminosarum @ 20 per cent followed by Trichoderma harzianum @ 20 per cent, Streptomyces sp. strain AUDT-502 @ 20 per cent as compared to control and Fluorescent pseudomonad sp.

Integration of different methods for suitable management of Fusarium wilt revealed that the minimum disease severity was found in case of soil application with Mushroom spent + combined seedling treatment with T. harzianum, Azotobacter and Rhizobium + first foliar application with Benfil (Carbendazim) + second foliar application with Matco (Metalaxyl + Mancozeb), representing the value 6.50% as against 54.65 per cent in case of control. Growth promoting effect of plants has also been noticed due to application of IDM practices.

This is the first study demonstrating antibiotic potential of symbiotic bacteria and their metabolite profiling from cultured bacterial endosymbionts associated with root nodules of Leguminaceae plant Dolichos lab lab. Our study has significant scope and it has never been reported. Indian farming area especially semi arid areas host varieties of Legumes with novel secondary metabolites producing organisms.

The present investigation was studied to evaluate the synergistic effect of Rhizobium and rhizobacteria consortium for improving growth, symbiotic efficiency, soil quality and yield in summer mungbean under field conditions during summer season 2015. Mungbean seeds of two varieties (SML668 and SML832) were inoculated with Rhizobium (M1, LSMR1 and LSMR2) singly and in combination with rhizobacteria (LSRB1, LSRB2 and LSRB3). Significantly high dry weight of shoot (4.22 and 5.29 g plant-1 ) dry weight of root (0.411 and 0.604g plant-1 ) total nitrogen (1.59 and 1.

An experiment was conducted to study the nematicidal toxicity of native antagonists against Meloidogyne incognita. For this the native antagonists viz., Pseudomonas fluorescens, Bacillus megaterium, Azotobacter sp., Rhizobium sp., Purpureocillium lilacinum and Pochonia chlamydosporia were screened against Meloidogyne incognita under in-vitro conditions. For this, four different concentrations of culture filtrates viz., 25, 50, 75 100 percent were tested against M.

Thirty nodule isolates from bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) grown in Eskiflehir were studied for their physiological and biochemical characteristics. Most isolates produced abundant extracellular polysaccharides, tolerated high salt concentration (5% NaCl), grew at a temperature of 42 °C, and synthesized melanin.

A total of 35 Rhizobium sp. were isolated from the root nodules of Trifolium alexandrinum (Egyptian clover) irrigated with treated tannery effluents and characterised on the basis of morphological, cultural and biochemical characteristics. Rhizospheric soils and plant parts were also analysed for metal concentrations by atomic absorption spectrophotometry.

The present study examined the effects of Bacillus pumilus, Pseudomonas alcaligenes, and Rhizobium sp. on wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lentis and on the growth of lentil. Inoculation with F. oxysporum caused significant wilting, and reduced plant growth, the number of pods, and nodulation.

The effects of Meloidogyne incognita, Xanthomonas campestris, and Rhizobium sp., alone or in combination, on the disease complex in chickpea were examined. Individual inoculation with M. incognita and X. campestris caused significant reductions in plant growth, while inoculation with Rhizobium sp. resulted in a significant increase in plant growth.
