Exploring the impact of number and type of comorbidities on the risk of severe COPD exacerbations in Korean Population: A Nationwide Cohort Study

It is difficult to assess the impact of multiple comorbidities on clinical outcomes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In this study, we aimed to investigate exacerbation-associated comorbidities, determine whether the number of comorbidities is an independent risk factor for exacerbation, and identify other exacerbationassociated factors in a Korean COPD population using a nationwide population-based cohort.
