Genetic variability analysis of QPM (Zea mays L.) inbreds using morphological characters

With the aim to assess the extent of genetic variability, heritability, genetic advance for yield and kernel quality traits in twenty five diverse QPM inbred lines. The crop was raised at Instructional Farm, Tirhut College of Agriculture, DRPCAU, Pusa, Samastipur (Bihar) during kharif 2018.The trail was set up in randomized block design with three replications having plot size of 1.5 x 4.0 = 6 m 2 . Analysis of variance revealed significant differences for 11 characters studied among the genotypes.
