I.Ojectives : -After the lesson Ss will be able to know more about famous people in Vietnam and in the world: Nguyen Van Giap, Romario pele,...... and the words: History quiz, General, commander-in chief, defeat................... -To drill Ss listening and speaking skills. II. Teaching aids. Tape + cassette ,text book, work book, III. Teaching procedure 1. Organization: 2. Oral test: - Ask Ss to do the exercises A3+4 ( p100-101) in the work book. 3. Presentation: A. Warm up.
-Ask Ss retell the name of some countries in the south-east Asia. -Work in pairs to discuss and write the answers on the BB. Thai land - Laos - Cambodia - Singapore - Indonesia - Malaysia .......................... B. Presentation. *Presentation: -Introduce somethings about the lesson and the General: Nguyen Van Giap. -Ask Ss the question:  Do you know about this person ?  Do you know this famous person who was in Dien Bien Phu battle ? -Ask ss to read the text to answer the questions. -Play the tape and introduce the new words.
