  1. Unit 10 : Health and hygiene. Lesson 1 : A1 & A2 . I. Objectives. After the lesson Ss will be able to revive the simple present tense + the simple past. Ss will get acquainted with the new topic : Personal hygiene. To drill Ss speaking and ,Reading skills. II. Teaching aids. text book , work sheet. III. Teaching procedure. 1. Class organization. 2. Oral test. - Do exercise in the work book .( test your self ). 3. New lesson: A. Warm up. Ask Ss to make new sentences , using the past form of the verbs: Take - made -teach – borrow
  2. Think - buy - help - decide. - Check if necessary. B.Presentation : *.A1.Pre- reading. - Ask Ss to answer the questions about Hoa. a.Where does Hoa come from? b.Which school does she study in ? c. Where does she live now ? d. Who does she live with ? e. Where do her parents live ? - Ask Ss to work in pair to answer the questions . - Read the questions aloud. - Introduce the reading.and ask Ss to read the reading. B. While – reading. - Ask Ss to scan the reading and give the content of the reading. - Ask Ss to write down the new words : Take morning exercise : tập thể dục buổi sáng. Get up early: dậy sớm
  3. Stay up late : thức khuya Take care of oneself: tự quan tâm đến bản thân. Don’t eat too much candy: không ăn quá nhiều kẹo. - Ask Ss to read the new words in chorus. - Ask Ss to work in pairs to read the reading again and answer the quetions ( p. 100 )in the text book. - Write the answer on the BB. a. They are busy because it is nearly harvest time. b. Hoa’s grand father helps them on the farm. c. They will go to Hanoi soon, after the harvest. d. Now Hoa is different . She gets up early and does morning exercises everyday. e. Hoa’s mother wants her to : do her own washing and ironing . f. Hoa’s mother doesn’t want her to eat too much candy. - Ask Ss to read the reading aloud. - Correct the Ss’ pronunciation. D .Post – reading.
  4. - Ask Ss to work in pairs to dicuss saying about the things they often do to keep the body healthy. - Give the guided questions + What do you often do in the morning / afternoon / evening? + Do you brush your teeth in the morning / in the evening? *.A2-.Pre- listening. - Introduce the listening and aks Ss to work in pairs to guess what is Hoa doing ? - Get up. - Comb hair. - Put on clothes. - Polish her shoes. - Have lunch - change clothes - wash and iron clothes. - Check their guessing.and give the meaning of the difficult words. C.While- listening. - Play the tape and ask Ss to listen and arrange the pictures. - Ask Ss to share the answer with their partners. - Ask Ss to give the correct answer and write it down.
  5. A, e, f, d, g, c, h, b. - Ask Ss to read aloud the answer and the new words. C. Post- listening. - Ask Ss to tell about the activities that they do everyday. ( work in pair ) + Get up. + brush teeth. + change clothes. +.................................... 4.Consolidation - Retell the content of the lesson. 5. Home work - Ask Ss to do the exercise A1 in the work book.
