Bone fragility and related fractures are increasingly being recognized as an important diabetic complication. Mesenchymal progenitors often serve as an important source of bone formation and regeneration. In the present study, we have evaluated the effects of diabetes on osteoblastogenesis of mesenchymal progenitors.
