Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is one of the commercially important major vegetable crops grown throughout the tropics and subtropics. Septoria leaf spot caused by Septoria lycopersici Speg. is one of the most destructive diseases of tomato and is particularly severe in areas where wet, humid weather persists for extended periods.
