The soil-borne necrotrophic fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Ciceris (FOC)infects chickpeaand causes wilt in any stage of plant from seedling to podding. Owing to climate change and ever changing nature of the pathogen, no resistant host cultivar is sustaining long against this disease. Hence, root resident Aspergillus niger isolates as native mycoflora were evaluated as bioagent against the FOC because chemical control has long been discouraged due to its circulation in food chain. In this study, we established the biocontrol potential of organic acid producing A.

Three bio-agents i.e. Trichoderma viridae, Trichoderma harzianum and Trichoderma aspergillum were evaluated against Botrytis cinerea under in vitro condition. Culture disc of fungal bio-agents and pathogen were taken from the growing cultures and transferred to PDA contained in 70 mm petridishes on opposite sides approximately at one cm from the wall of the plate. Among these three bio-gents Trichodema harzianum showed best mycelial growth inhibition of Botrytis cinerea.

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is one of the major legume pulse crops and it is majorly grown in India and other semi-arid regions of the world. Dry root rot of chickpea is the most destructive disease of chickpea. Therefore, in present studies fungicides (six systemic, seven non systemic and six ready mix fungicides) were tested in vitro at three different concentrations by poisoned food technique for evaluating their efficacy against M. phaseolina.

Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill.] is an important oilseed crop. Colletotrichum truncatum, the incitant of anthracnose/ pod blight in soybean is one of the most destructive pathogens. Eight fungicides (@ 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500ppm each), 10 botanicals@ 10% and four bioagents were evaluated in vitro against C. truncatum, using PDA as basal medium. The results revealed that all the fungicides, botanicals and bioagents tested were found fungistatic and significantly inhibited the mycelial growth of the test pathogen over untreated control.

Jaiphal, Suva and Haldi supplemented individually at 1 to 3% levels on TMR varying in different R:C on the in vitro methane production and utilization of nutrients. Supplementation of jaiphal, irrespective of their level had significantly (P < 0.05) in jaiphal supplemented TMR but it was comparable in other supplemented TMRs. Irrespective of the of herb and R:C ratio, the PF, OMD%, NDFD%, MMP and EMMP and DM digestibility was significantly...

In an experiment, effect of neem and lantana leaf extract on the growth of damping-off pathogen, Fusarium solani was evaluated under in- vitro condition on Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium. Results showed the growth inhibition of 45.2% and 66.1% with neem leaf extracts and 0% and 0% growth inhibition with lantana extracts, @ 10 and 40% concentrations, respectively. Extract of neem leaf exhibited antagonistic activity and lantana had synergistic effect on the growth of Fusarium solani under invitro condition.
