Pesticide removals in the nitrifying expanded-bed filter at drinking water treatment plant

This study aimed to investigate the possibility of degrading the pesticides of the BAC process. Based on the promising results in the full-scale reactor receiving river water, a lab-scale reactor was installed to study the pesticide removal mechanism and the contribution of nitrifying bacteria to the removal efficiency.
