Provisions on the right to access to medicines under the new-generation free trade agreements in which Vietnam participates and some emerging issues

Conflict between economic interests and fundamental rights of human beings to create a sustainable social development is always a controversial topic for each country. However, the problem becomes more serious when we are facing with globalization and international integration and one of the most obvious manifestations is the active participation in the newgeneration Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Two new-generation FTAs that have profound effects on Vietnam are Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Transpacific Partnership (CPTPP) and EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
