The phytoplankton community (except Bacillariophyceae) of Lake Abant (Bolu, Turkey)

A total of 162 phytoplankton species found monthly from 3 littoral and 2 vertical stations between June 2003 and June 2005 were identified from Lake Abant (Bolu, Turkey). Some species, such as Trachelomonas volvocina Ehrenberg, Cryptomonas ovata Ehrenberg, and Ceratium hirundinella (Müller) Dujardin showed frequent occurrence almost every month, but others had specific seasonality.
